I don't have to cry,
Even though what you said is a lie,
I don't need a picture of you under my pillow,
Even though you filled my heart with sorrow,
I don't need to wear the necklace you gave me,
It reminds me of what we couldn't be,
I don't have to remember the times we shared,
Because now I know you never cared,
But despite the pain it brought to me,
It doesn't effect the person I am going to be
Today I hold my head up high,
Proud that I can say goodbye
I am strong.
