Turning over, Sam ran a hand through his blonde locks. Ever since finding out the entrance in the town had been closed off, he'd been struggling to sleep. It had only been about a week, so he didn't want to see the doctor, despite Callum nagging him to.

As Sam tossed around, he felt a cold hand on his shoulder, which stilled him.

'Trouble sleeping again baby?' A half-asleep Callum muttered.

'Yeah.' He whispered back.

Outstretching his arm, Callum wrapped a hand around his torso, pulling him close to his chest. 'Just close your eyes.' He soothed, petting his head. 'Just relax your body, and think about something calm, imagine yourself on a beach or in a desert.'

Doing what he was told, Sam closed his eyes. He could hear Callum had fallen asleep before him, but his weak body soon succumbed as well.

Opening his eyes, Sam was alone. A peaceful beach surrounding him. He basked in the hot sun, feeling the warm sand beneath his toes. He glanced over to the water, inviting him in. He took a step towards it when he noticed a black spot in the centre of his vision. Confused, he took a step back, yet the water drew closer. Something was in there. He started running, but the water was faster, and it reached out to grab at him. Overwhelmed, the water covered his body, pulling him back. The black mark slowly drew closer as he frantically started swimming away. The spot emerged, and a tall, dark figure loomed over him.

Sam screamed as the figure grabbed his head, where he fell down into a path of nothingness. He looked all around him, only seeing white. Until he looked up. Sam screamed at the horrific monster in front of him. A tall female figure reaching down. Sam yelled again, and the woman screamed back, a horrifying noise, blasting a black ray at him. Sam went silent as he was enveloped, a dark bang overtaking him.

He opened his eyes, cold and weak, his face pressed down on a damp surface. Slowly leaning up, he could barely see. He was outside, on a pavement. He quickly turned around to see if anyone else was there, but no, he was alone, no sign of the dark figure that had been chasing him.

Pulling himself up he saw a sign on the other side of the road. He stumbled over, this was his street! And his apartment was just a few doors down! He must have sleep-walked due to the word dreams he's been having. Dragging his body along, he made his way back to Callum.
