It's Friday, already? I question myself as eyes take in the site of my room as I open them.

The week seemed to fast forward and I find myself dumb founded trying to force my brain to rewind my week.

CURSE MY EXTREME A.D.D!(That I got from my mom, supposedly) I can only seem to remember small scenes of the last seven days.

Like: hanging out with Ace and the others, our presentations in Mrs. Clues' class, mom smiling like a lunatic as she is in one of her intense daydreams.

Speaking of daydreams, she seems so occupied with who knows what now and is starting to 'care' about her apperance. It's not like she would just walk out the house in sweatpants, a tank top, Crocs, and a messy bun or anything, but she is starting to wear 'dresser' clothes and even is applying a little make up on her face. Which , in my opinion at least, just enhances her beautiful face  slightly compared to her already gorgeous looks.

I wonder to myself, 'What is changing her?', but I can't help but be happy that she is happy and hope whatever it is, that it will stay.

After my five minute reasoning in my head, I get out of my comfy orange bed and made my way towards the bathroom. Shortly after I am done relaxing in the convient hot waterfall in my bathroom called 'the shower', I throw on my favorite jeans, school uniform top and my colorful sweater that hits the back on my knees. With a quick glance in the mirror to fix my hair, I'm off!

I head down stairs, I come to find my mom giggling at her phone screen. It seems she is  reading a text or something so I leave it be as I slide into a seat at the kitchen table where food is already placed. I munch away happily, giving a few glances mom's way as she continued to giggle then stops and giggle and stop like a teenager during their drivers' test. Constantly starting then pushing the brakes ubrutly.

As I finished my delious morning delight, I washed my dish off, placed it on the rack and grabbed my backpack. I turn around to still see my mom all bubbly over her phone. I try to sneak up on her with my ninja skills behind her to see what she is looking at her when she zips around in my direction with her phone safely behind her back. So much for my ninja skills.

"I see you're ready to leave." She says grinning cheekly, as if nothing just happened. " Let's go!!" She then said as cheerfully as a I chipmunk and headed towards the door. I shrugged and followed her.

I sit under the tree with my friends surrounding me, pondering over what my mom could be hiding from me. A new job, promotion maybe, a trip, showcase? My anxious mind can't pin what it could be due to ALL the various things she was in or has done.

Seriously, she is unpredictable. Once she actually joined a local circus when I was five and said that a lion won't let her pet it. Low and behold that dang thing love her! Purring at her constantly and always showing off in front her when ever she was around. When the circus had to go to another state to perform, the big cat refused to go in its cage until my mom persuaded.

Every since then I never dobted my mom.

"Take a picture, it will last longer!" Mike's voice crepts into my head, disrupting my thoughts.

I shake my mind to find all my friends cracking up, even Ace. You see I have these moments when I need to mentally sort somethings in my head and I stare at what ever is in front of me. Good thing Ace knows about this and is so cool about it. That's actually how we meet.

"I'll even give you one of my signature poses." Mike added, flirtatiously.

"No thanks. I'll pass." I reply with a small grin.

"So what's on your mind?" Ace asked calmly.

"Nothing much. Just how my mom has been acting werid...in a good way lately."

"What do you mean...werid?" Molly chims in.

"Like...a teenage girl all bubbly about...something...and says 'oh, nothing' when you ask them what's going on." I stated, a little annoyed.

Mom never keeps things from me unless it is something serious. Like when my gold fish died when I was six when I trying to give him some strawberry juice in his tank. But by the way she constantly giggles, I know its nothing to that extreme like death.

It just makes me question myself:What is she hiding? Am I not mature enough to know? WHAT IS IT? I yelled in my head.

I let out a sigh.

"Maybe..." Molly suggested with a grin so wide comparing it to a Crescent Moon would an understatement."it's a guy?"

My eyes nearly escaped their sockets at the comment. As I mentally placed them back, I consider what Molly said.

Mom has had a few crushes on some guys at work, here and there just...nothing serious. At least that's what she texted to her coworker. They either went out for lunch or the movies, but that was mainly it. Could it be someone she meet on one of those nights?

You see, my mom goes out every month since I was tweleve to hang out with her friends. At clubs, dinner, the carnival, you name it. But now thinking about it, she did start acting weird after that Saturday.

"I don't know, maybe?" I mubble while fiddling with my fingers.

"Maybe you should ask her?" Ace says, reassuringly.

" Yeah, maybe."

Honk Honk

Speak of the devil.

"Okay, guys. See you later!" I say while getting up.

"Peace out!" James says, lifting up his head from Amy's drawing. I almost forgot he was there due to his quietness. Amy lifts up her head too and flashes the peace sign at me with a warm grin.

"Bye." Ace says softly as he gets up with my to plant a heart felt kiss on my cheek.

THANK GOD WE ARE BEHIND THE TREE!!! Mother nature is awesome!

"Text me if you still want that pic!" Mike says softly with a grin and a wink.

I roll my eyes at the comment and head to the car.

"Hello sweety! How was school?"

"Good! Work?"

"Same as usual." Mom answered. "Oh but Sade, I have to go out tonight so no 'Inviting the whole school to house for a party' okay?"

"I'll try not to!" I kid.

Why is she going out? And with who? Just more questions to add to list.
