Hello fellow Wattpaders! Here is my three chapter for Step-Lovers. Attach is the video for Rebel Song Love by Black Veil Brides. It is going to be in corporate d in this chapter.

Enjoy!

Okay, so mom said no 'extreme' house party so inviting the guys won't be concerned that...right?

Oh well! I am starting to get bord from studying since I am done with homework, so I texted them.

Are you guys up to hang out at my house a little? My mom's out.

It only took seconds for them to reply in the group text.

I'm so up for that! James responded first.

I'll bring the karaoke! Yeahhhh! Molly stated.

Okay. Amy.

Get ready for my 'American Idol' worthy voice. Mike commented. I can hear him saying that so pompously in my head.

Be there in a sec. Ace answered after the beeping died down.

Okay! I responded to all.

I began to study my notes again for AP World. Oh how the Tang and Song Dynasty are so interesting with the equal-fields system and what not.

Before I could indulge myself deeper in my sad humor, the door bell rang.

I wonder who that could be?

I got up from my seat and headed down the stairs to greet my newly arrived guest.

I open the door to find Ace. Wow! He wasn't kidding about that 'be there in a sec'.

"Hello beautiful." Ace said slyly with a smirk.

"Hello handsome." I reply calmly with the same smirk plastered on my face.

I move out the way and allowed him to walk in. After I closed the front door, Ace enclosed me in his semi-muscular arms for a hug.

As we pulled back from each other, our eyes caught each other and we drew deeper into each other's gaze as we were drawing closer for a kiss.

Our lips inches away from each other's....

Ding Dong

Great.

We snap out of our trance and opened the door to find the rest of the gang standing outside the door.

Molly is holding the karaoke system under her arm. Amy is standing next to her with her head down in her drawing pad.

James and Mike were behind them doing their usual hand shake.

When they notice us, they all said hi while entering the house. I guess they didn't put the scene together, so we're good.

They all got situated on the couch and Molly started hooking up the karaoke machine to the TV.

We talked about school as we waited for Molly.

"Ready to go!" Molly said cheerfully. "Now Amy, James and Ace choose your partner from the bowl." Molly held out a bowl with three slips on paper in it, which I'm guessing had Mike, Molly and my name in it.

After they were done choosing, Molly announced the grouping. It was Molly and Ace, James and me, and Amy and Mike.

Molly and Ace sang to their favorite pop song "Try" by Colbie Calliat. Their harmonizing was perfect! Ace's deepish voice blended nicely with Molly's semi-high voice. We all appalled to them when they were done.

Next was James and me. We chose, for fun, an oldie, for our generation at least. "Burning Up" by the Jonas Brothers. I sounded like a dying cat most of the song when it came to the high notes. James on the other hand was singing like it was nothing.

When we ended, the others were cracking up at my attempt to sing. I rolled my eyes as I plopped down next to Ace on the couch where he placed his arm around my shoulders.

Now, the main event. Amy and Mike. They are both very talented when it comes to singing. So much so that they tied for our schools talent show twice.

"Rebel Love Song" by Black Veil Brides was their song choice. Before they started they did rock paper, scissors, shoot to determine who will sing first. Amy won.

I cannot hide, what's on my mind. I fell it burning deep inside. Amy began.

She made her voice raspy to match the song. Mike joint in before the chorus.

Nothing's gonna change my mind.
We could leave it all behind.
Nothing's gonna stop us, no not this time!

It was awesome seeing them perform together. I looked to my right to see James recording the whole scene. I smiled at the sight.

The song finally ended, sadly, with it finishing with the guitar sound fading out.

We all stood up from our seats and appalled at their performance. Mike and Amy smiled widely and bowed and curtsied.

After that we talked more about school and our plans for the soon to be four day weekend.

Amy said she had to visit some family but would be free Monday. Molly and her older sister are going shopping. James and Mike are going to a parkour show an wanted to invite Ace. And Ace said he is going with his dad to a motorcycle invite.

When we realized we were all free on Monday, we planned to go to the park, mall and movies.

Thirty minutes went by before my guest began to leave. Ace was the only one left.

We headed up to my room because I need to ask him some stuff for Chemistry that I didn't understand. He was a wiz at this kind of stuff.

After things were sorted out, we picked up from where we left off, before the gang was here.

Ace took my face in his hands and stared deep into my eyes.

A small smile crept on his face and I returned it shortly after.

Our faces started to get closer. My arms rapped around his neck while his hands did the same to my waist. When our faces were only inches away from each other's, I closed my eyes and started to count down the seconds until our lips would impact. Five....Four.....Three.....Two......

"SADE, I'M HOME!" I heard my yell from downstairs.

Ace quickly untangled his body from mine and headed towards my window.

Ace opened it quickly and quietly and started to lower his body through the now open widow. Just before his face went out of site, he leaned into the room and placed a pop kiss on lips then whimpered "Maybe next time." before disappearing in the night.

Once out of site, I closed the widow and scrambled to my desk and put in my earbuds in my ears to portray that I was listening to music while studying.

Simultaneously, mom opened the door.

"Sade?" She said as she craned her neck inside my room. I pulled out an earbud to listen to her. "Oh! I didn't know you were studying. Just wanted you to know I was home. Goodnight!" She said with a small smile as she closed the door behind her.

I let out a breathe I must have been holding. I looked at my clock to see it was 10:05.

This is the latest she has ever came home! I thought.

I wonder what she was up to. I let it slide... for know when I realized how tired I was.

I then crawled in my bed and fell soundly asleep.
