"damn he is a dick" timothèe laughed, leaning back on cherrys couch. she smiled at him, "yeah sorry he hung up on you" she said and he shrugged. "it's fine... what does he even do?" timothèe asked. "oh he does youtube" cherry said. timothèe slowly nodded, "i've never heard of him but i don't watch a lot of youtube i guess" he finished. cherry laughed and shoved his shoulder. timothèe blushed and smiled at the girl. cherry licked her lips, she wanted to ask about ava but she didn't want to make the situation awkward. "what?" he asked suddenly. cherry looked at him, wishing she could have hid what she was thinking.
with him it felt like she couldn't. "i was just gonna ask about ava" she said casually and timothèe smiled. "um i met her like a year ago in paris—we have been friends ever since." he said and cherry nodded. she remembered what zendaya had told her, "friends with benefits" she mumbled and timothèe widened his eyes. "hmm?" she said, hoping he didn't hear. "um last year we had a thing yeah but it just didn't work out" he bit his lip in frustration. "oh" cherry said and looked away. the room felt like it stopped and her stomach hurt. she ignored the feeling of jealousy. she had no reason to be jealous, she reminded herself.
"are you hungry?" she asked quickly. she wanted to change the subject. "actually i was wondering if you wanted to go out" he asked sweetly, eyeing her face, trying to read her. he could tell something was wrong. "where" cherry asked, interested. "my buddy is throwing a party.." he said and cherry smiled. "yeah sure" she said and stood up, "let me just change real quick." she ran to her room.
