the bell rang, echoing through the almost-empty coffee shop. thursdays were not so busy. especially later in the evening.

jeongin had come in. his smile - a bit off...

"there's my favourite costumer!" hyunjin laughed. he had instantly seen the down look on the younger. "the usual?"

jeongin nodded, going to sit at one of the tables in the corner.

the barista frowned, whispering something to changbin before walking over to the young boy.

he couldn't help but notice the tears forming in jeongin's eyes. so, instead of asking what was wrong; and risking the younger getting embarrassed from just crying - hyunjin decided to just sit down and wrap his arms around the boy.

"do you want to talk about it?" hyunjin quietly said, feeling the boy begin to tremble in his embrace.

he kissed the top of the brunette's hair, sobs beginning to die down.

"i-" jeongin began. he sucked in a deep breath and pulled away from hyunjin. he stared into the older's eyes. "i think i love you."

hyunjin was about to 'aw' - only to realise what the younger had said.

jeongin was about to push hyunjin away. probably taking the silence as a rejection.

"jeongin," the blonde took hold of the latter's hands. he felt his cheeks begin to burn when he felt jeongin's thumbs rubbing the back of his hands. "let's go on a date."

"i shouldn't have cried over this..." jeongin sheepishly laughed.
