Chapter 10: Ambush!!

I have been in my room for a day, the only reason why, was so I didn’t beat the living hell out of Mia. When I finally decide to come out of my room, I see Vince. Apparently, he saved Mia’s life and now he is helping us. Does anyone else think something bad may happen, or is it just me? It’s only cause Vince had already screwed Dom over once, I just don’t want it to happen again. Also, we apparently stuck a tracker under this guy name Luke Hobbs truck, because he was tracking us down. Man, I missed a lot. Today, was the day we were finally going to get this money. Everyone was getting ready to move. Mia was checking the tracking device to see exactly where Hobbs was.

“Hobbs is on the other side of the city, we’re not gonna get a better window then this.” Mia told us, and just to be certain, I was looking over her shoulder, just to make sure she wasn’t screwing us over ether. Since her and my brother are no longer together, I don’t have to be nice. Well actually, sadly I have to be kind of nice, due to the fact that she’s Dom’s sister.

I was pulled out of my thought’s when I heard everyone leaving. Well everyone but Dom, Brian, Mia, Vince, Lexie, and I. Dom, and Brian were gonna leave in just a few minutes, and Vince was going to keep the rest of us safe. I don’t really feel protected when it comes to Vince, I mean, he hates me. But oh well, I’m sure he won’t try to hurt me, if he know’s what’s best for him. I was standing not far from Dom’s car, when I felt his hands on my hips. I smiled and turned around so I was facing him.

“Be careful.” I said to him, trying to hide the amount of worry that I was now feeling. I didn’t do a very good job at hiding it, I could tell when his facial expression changed a little. He didn’t look mad, he still looked happy, but he was looking, glad I guess.

“I will be. You don’t have to worry, Scar. I will come back safe and sound, along with Brian, and everyone else.” He smiled at me. Everything he said put reassurance in my mind. I believed every word he said. He leaned down and kissed me softly then pulled away, and looked me directly in the eyes. He had that look, as though he knew something was going through my mind, which there was.

“What are you thinking about?” He asked.

I sighed, “I’m wondering what happens when we get this money? What happens next?” I asked.

“What happens next? Well, I was thinking something along the lines of, you and me, going wherever you want.” He smirked at me, and continued, “That is if you want to.” He said softly. I smiled and kissed him passionately. I wanted to stay with Dom, for the rest of my life. We broke apart, and I was still smiling, honestly. I was just so happy.

“So is that a yes?” Dom asked me, which made me roll my eyes.

“I would go anywhere with you, Dom. I love you.” I told him.

“I love you too.” He said. I pecked his lips.

As I said goodbye to my brother, there was this truck that pulled in.

“Cops!” Vince yelled. Well that’s just great, I knew something would go wrong. Brian grabbed a hold of my arm and we started running towards the back entrance, with Lexie, Mia, and Vince. But we weren’t fast enough. The cops caught up to us, and made us go back to where the other cops were. When we got back, I noticed Dom in a headlock. As he looked at me, he looked pissed, but he wasn’t pissed at me, he was pissed at the guy, which I found out was Hobbs, who was holding him in a headlock. He started fully fighting back, to be honest, I found it hard to watch. I have never seen Dom like this before, maybe that’s cause he always tried to keep calm around me. All of the sudden, I was ripped out of my thoughts, by seeing Hobbs tackle Dom out a window. That’s when I started getting panicky. First it was Hobbs who had the upper hand, then it was Dom. But Dom was starting to lose it, he was super pissed off by now.

“Dom, Stop! Please!” I begged, I kept doing this. Until he grabbed a wrench, by then, I was in shock, I couldn’t bring myself to say anything. It was Mia who was now screaming for him to stop. I continued to watch him, until I saw him bring the wrench down, then I had to look away. Then I heard it hit something, but it wasn’t the sound of a skull cracking, no it was the sound of metal hitting cement. I opened my eyes and looked at the sight before me. Dom was getting up, and putting his hands above his head, the wrench was laying on the ground beside Hobbs’s head. I mentally sighed of relief, I wasn’t sure what would have happened if we weren’t there. We were all put in the back of this truck, with our wrist bound. They were taking us somewhere, probably the police station.

“Ambush!” I heard Hobbs yell. I slightly looked, and sure enough there was a guy, who just shot a bazooka and it the truck ahead of us. Hobbs got out, and was trying to help his team, but it wasn’t working. The guy’s who were ambushing us, just kept shooting.

“Cut us loose!” Brian yelled at the women in the truck who was watching us. She looked hesitant but then did so. Just after she finished unbinding us, we heard another explosion. Then Dom told Mia, Lexie and I to wait in the truck, well they all finished this. We all agreed, even though Lexie and I couldn’t stand Mia, I think we were all scared shitless. Not to mention, Mia is pregnant. Finally they came back. I wish I could say they were all fine, but I can’t. All of the sudden I looked over at Vince, and saw he was bleeding. He had gotten shot. I couldn’t believe this, he has a son, a family, and now he will never get to be with them again. I know I have always hated Vince, but this was heart wrenching. I listened as he told Dom about his son, and how he needed to meet him one day. Then he was just gone. I know Dom was heart broken, just like the rest of us.
