Y/n's Pov:

Me and mrs. Grose entered the large mansion.

We were greeted by a cute little girl.

"Hi Im Flora!" The little girl who was apparently Flora says with a cute wide smile and was missing her two front teeth. "Hi im Y/n." I say smiling kindly to the little girl. "Are you going to live here?" She asks questionaly looking up at me.

I hesitate.

She continues staring at me as if waiting for an answer while her smile was slowly fading away.

"Yeah, I u-um Im gonna stay here until my parents get back from their business trip." I say breaking the awkward silence. 'Your such a dumbass Y/n now I probably look like an idiot' I scold myself since it took me a long time to answer Flora.

Honestly I dont even know why I even hesitated to answer.

She paused for a split second until her sweet smile returned. "Yay your going to love it here!! Im glad you get to stay since I never really had a friend that was a girl, I mostly just play with my brother." She says to me.

I wonder who this brother of her's is. Probably her age since children the same age hang out.

"I should let Kate show you to your room." Mrs. Grose says still with her blank expression. "I will go get her, ill be back." She says leaving the living room.

Me and Flora start talking and asking questuons about each other since we wanted to know each other better.

"Do you like to play dollies?" Flora asks me with a wide exited smile as if she was hoping I would say yes. "Well later I could play with you if you want. I dont usually since-"

I felt someone yank me by the shoulder to turn me around.

I got greeted by a tall, Curly headed freckled boy.

He didn't look like an 8 year old to me.

He was way too tall.

"Who are you?" The mysterious boy asks me eyeing me up and down still having his hand on my shoulder with a tight grip. "Im Y/n." I blushed after I said that since he looked me up and down.

"I will be staying here since my parents have a business trip." I say while removing his hand from my shoulder making an annoyed face since I didn't really like how he was being kinda rude.

"Peculiar."

"What?"

He just smirked and went back upstairs.

Ngl that was pretty hot, but still kinda rude.

I turned back around to expect a Flora but when I turned around Flora was no where in sight.

"Flora?" I look around but found mrs. Grose and a lady with short blonde hair that I don't recognise walk toward me. I grab my suitcase because I guess she was going to show me my room. "Hi my name is Kate, im the nanny of the children but also your dad's sister." Kate says with a smile.

"Well I must get going." Mrs. Grose says walking out leaving me and Kate alone.

"So let me show where you will be staying." Kate starts going to a hallway and I follow from behind.

We were walking for about a good 5 minutes until she stops by a door.

"So this is the room you will be sleeping in." She says. "Thank you." I say politely since I didn't want to come off rude.

Again.

Couldn't be me.

"No problem, just if you hear anything outside your door in the middle of the night don't freak out and make sure to not make any loud noises." She instructed me. I nod and she went back.

I checked the time and it was 12:26. I grabbed my suitcase and opened it so I can unpack my belongings.

I continued to do so.

I just got finished unpacking my belongings. Still the room looked plain and grey but I just didn't bother to decorate the room as much since I probably wasn't going to stay here as long.

I was going to go out of the room until I accidentally almost bumped into someone.

"Oh sorry Y/n Mrs. Grose told me to get you for lunch, it is going to be a late lunch since you came and took a bit of the normal schedual." Kate says. "But don't worry its not your fault." She adds reassuringly. I guess she added that since she didn't want me to feel bad.

"Oh, ok." I replied. I wanted to say, 'I know it wasn't' but I guess she would consider that "attitude" because I assumed she would think that since she IS my dad's sister.

"Lets go."

Me and Kate walked down the hall to go to the dining room which was close by the living room.

We entered the dining room and we were met with Mrs. Grose, Flora, and the boy from earlier.

Ngl he was pretty cute.

'I really shouldn't be thinking of that right now'

"Think of what?" Kate asks as we both sit down at the table.

Shit did I just say that out loud? I could have sworn that I said that in my head.

"I-I u-um was thinking about... a boy from my school about a weird incident yeah." I awkwardly say.

Luckily they believed me since they didn't want me to be worked up about it since I just got here.

The boy just smirked the same smirk from earlier after calling me 'peculiar'. Honestly I really don't think I am.

I started to eat we ate in silence.

anyways I wrote this at 12:28 through 2:08 since I wasn't busy plus I think I have lots of missing assignments in math 😭😭😭
