They were back at the Hogwarts Express. Astoria was excitedly talking about what she discovered to everyone. She loved that people that are good at makeup could have d'où g makeup on others as their job. "I would really like to be one of them. Mine, do they need to go to a muggles school to be one?"
Hermione nodded, "to get a degree that enables you to do it." Astoria pouted, Draco glared at Hermione who quickly added, "but you can probably work as one in the magic world without it. I'm sure passing potions must be enough for you to know the dangers." Draco smiled once he saw Astoria beaming.
"oh I'm going to need to practice on everyone. Can I? Please?"
Draco nodded grabbing her hand and kissing it, "of course you can. I'm sure no one would mind." Astoria blushed.
Hermione looked over at Harry and smiled. Harry was looking out the window and rubbing circles in the back of her hand. Hermione placed her head on his shoulder, "what are you thinking about?"
Harry snapped out of his thoughts and looked over at Hermione, "this is our last train ride to Hogwarts, I guess it just makes me feel sad."
Hermione kissed his cheek softly but said nothing. She knew how much Hogwarts meant to Harry, this was his home. Harry put his head on top of Hermione's and sighed, "have you organised your study schedule?"
"yes, I want to make sure I'm prepared but don't worry, we'll still have time to have fun."
Harry smiled, "I'm not worried with you by my side. You in the other hand don't have to worry about Ron and I studying. If we want to be Aurors the correct way we'll have to study hard."
"good."
-----
Everything was uneventful. They all spent time studying harder and doing homework. Astoria found time to practice her make up skills. She was perfecting a potion to help her with matching a foundation. Hermione and Draco helped her in their spare time.
The week of exams arrived quickly. Everyone did the best they could. After exams Harry got Hermione to agree to a picnic. They went to the lake and sat down to eat. After eating they laid down on the grass.
"I'm going to miss it here."
Hermione nodded in agreement, "It's weird to think we only have limited time now."
Harry turned to Hermione and hugged her, "I've been thinking, would you like to maybe move in with me? I've been looking at places we could buy and leave the black household as a safe house or something like that. It's fine if you don't want that, it was just a crazy thought. I-"
Hermione kissed him, humming happily. Harry kissed her back in an instant melting into her touch. "I would love that Harry."
Harry smiled and kissed her again. He could feel his heart besting loudly, he never felt this happy. Hermione's lips were so soft, he could kiss her forever. Hermione scooted closer deepening the kiss.
They pulled apart breathless. "We need to do that more often." Hermione said giggling.
Harry nodded in agreement letting out a small laugh, "after graduation, let's take a small vacation like you said. A beach somewhere, just the two of us."
"yeah. That sounds fun."
---
"Hermione does my hair look good?" Astoria asked
They were getting ready for the graduation ceremony. It was going to be by the forbidden forest.
Hermione smiled, "you look beautiful."
Astoria giggled, "Pansy and Gin are waiting with the others right?" Hermione nodded. "thank you for waiting for me."
"of course."
The girls walked to their friends. They were all dressed up with their house graduation robes on. It was a bitter sweet moment.
"ready to give our speach Mione?" Draco asked.
"ready as I'll ever be."
They walked off to the side of the stage leaving their friends to find their places behind them.
McGonagall began speaking to everyone who was there for the graduation. She talked about the war and had a moment of silence for the students who were supposed to graduate.
Next Draco and Hermione walked up with their prepared speach.
"Today is a big day for all of us but let us not forget about the friends and memories we've made." Hermione started.
"From the happiest memories to the saddest ones, we've watched each other grow, not only with our magic but also in our character." Draco continued.
"And though we have lost many along the way let's honour them by fighting for what's right and not forgetting them or each other."
Draco smiled, "As we make our way into the world we have to remember what we've learned from the professors and each other."
Draco and Hermione looked at each other and nodded before speaking together, "Congratulations to everyone who is graduating today, let the ceremony begin." They sat back down.
Owls came flying in, each dropped diplomas for everyone.
McGonagall continued with the celebration and talking about what the future had in store for them.
When everything was done Hermione turned around to go find her boyfriend. She ran up to him and gave Harry a big hug. Harry laughed and spun her around happily, this year had been the best year ever.
"we did it!"
Harry gave her a small kiss, "we did it. And I survived this year without any trouble."
"Can't wait to see what the future has in store for us."
----
Pansy and Blaise smiled at each other as they observed Harry and Hermione talking.
"You know Blaisy, they have something beautiful between them. I can tell it'll last forever."
Blaise laughed, "you know way too much about romance Pans."
Pansy shrugged, "I'm happy for them. I'm happy for every single one of our friends."
Blaise nodded, "they do have something magical you could say, come on. Let's go meet up with Draco and Asty for a picture."
The end
Or is it?
