Something Beautiful (Harmione)

Chapter 15

Hermione was getting ready for their new years party. The slytherins rented a venue for them to celebrate.

Harry opened the door and was speechless. Hermione chose to wear a nice royal blue dress that made her look like a princess. She always looked beautiful but now she looked so gorgeous.

Hermione turned around when she spotted her boyfriend at the door. "You look very handsome Harry."

Harry blushed and struggled to form a sentence. Hermione chuckled and walked towards him to give him a soft kiss on the lips. Harry hummed happily against her lips. "you look wow."

Hermione wrapped her arms around his neck elegantly, "thank you."

Draco cleared his throat behind them. They jumped and turned around quickly. Draco smirked, "time to go. We have to be the first ones there to greet everyone."

Astoria rolled her eyes playfully, "so bossy."

Draco shook his head affectionately and walked away with her to the door.  Harry held out his hand, Hermione took it and they walked together to the door.

"I hope no one minds that I rented a limo." Blaise said checking himself out one more time in the mirror.

"what's a limo?" Pansy asked.

"why did you rent a limo?" Harry asked at the same time.

Blaise shrugged, "I was walking around and I saw this fancy place to rent limos and a lady said I looked too you d to afford one so I rented one. I don't know what they are but it better be something good."

Hermione laughed, "you rented a limo just to proof a lady wrong?"

Blaise nodded. Pansy cleared her throat, "what's a limo?"

"It's basically an elongated car with a choffeur to drive you around. They're fancy and sometimes have things I
inside to offer the riders. Limos are used for events like parties." Harry explained. Pansy flashed him a smile thanking him.

Draco pouted, "but we have to leave now."

Blaise chuckled, "It's outside. I know you like the back of my hand Dray of course I know at what time you want to leave." He glanced over at his friends and smiled, "Come on, let's go."

They got into the limo and left to the party.

They walked into the doors and Draco let put a sigh of relief, they were the first ones there.

Harry felt excitement when he entered, it à was beautiful. Je knew Draco must have been asking about muggles traditions to Hermione by the looks of this.

"and now we wait for everyone to get here." Draco announced happily.

When everyone arrived the food came out for them to eat. Astoria got Draco to eat and not fuss about the food being perfect for everyone.

Harry had never seen so many food served for him outside of Hogwarts. It was a bit overwhelming but he did enjoy it. Hermione couldn't help but smile at his expression every time he took a bite of something new. Harry looked adorable, his eyes lit up and nodded if he really liked the food or scrunched his nose if he didn't.

"Draco, how did you get all these wizards to not do something that could give us away?" Hermione asked curiously.

Draco shrugged, "I just had to write instructions on their invitations and they had to take a vow, it won't kill then if it's broken, it will just help them keep their word."

Soon after dinner the music started playing and everyone started dancing.

Harry twirled Hermione aroumd causing them to laugh as they danced. "I wonder if we would've had this much fun at the yule ball."

Harry chuckled, "I think we would've. But I might have stepped on your toes too much. I've gotten better."

Hermione shook her head playfully, "I just mastered the art of avoiding getting stepped on while dancing."

"you know what, I believe that."

They went back to sitting down and talking so they could rest their tired feet for a bit. "I'll get you something to drink." Harry said as he walked off. He found a table that had fruit punch and other things. A server was standing there. Harry poured some onto a plastic cup and left quickly. He handed the cup to Hermione, "do you know a spell to check if its clean? I saw one of the servers a little too suspicious by the drinks." Harry handed her wand under the table.

Hermione quickly casted a spell and shook her head, "it's clean, he's probably monitoring the drinks." she handed her wand to Harry again so he could put it away. "I'm pretty sure Draco checked everything and bewitched everything to be as safe as possible for us. No need to worry."

Harry nodded looking over the dance floor, everyone was having fun, everyone was safe. He couldn't help but worry something would go terribly wrong.

Hermione placed her hand on his cheek, "Nothing is going to happen Harry. It's ok to give yourself time to enjoy and just be in the present. We're safe."

Harry gave her a soft smile and nodded, "can we go outside for a bit? I feel overwhelmed."

They stepped outside to the little garden the place had. They sat down on the beach and relaxed. "we should take a trip after Hogwarts. Just us, give us some time to relax and breathe before everything."

Hermione nodded in agreement snuggling closer to him, "maybe we should go to a beach. Relax under the warm sun."

"I'd like that."

They stayed like that until Draco came looking for them. He said they were going to do a muggles countdown for new years but they had to hurry.

They all had their countdown and celebrated the new year.

Harry hoped it was going to be a good year.
