Chapter 7: Miss and Pheromone
The butler, his brow furrowed with a mixture of curiosity and concern, looked at Taehyung, who stood frozen in place, his hand unconsciously touching the spot on his cheek where Jungkook had kissed him.
"Ahem, what just happened?" the butler asked, crossing his arms, his voice laced with a hint of suspicion.
"Tuh-that's nothing," Taehyung said, rubbing the back of his neck, his cheeks flushed crimson. "Please do prepare the baby's stuff. I had to take care of the baby."
"I understand," the butler replied, bowing his head. "Anyway, Leader Kim, please do spray something in your room. This place is reeking of that Alpha's pheromones." He turned and left, his gaze lingering for a moment too long on the flustered omega.
Taehyung sniffed the air, realizing that Jungkook had indeed scented his room. He couldn't deny that he found the alpha's scent strangely comforting, a lingering reminder of the alpha's presence.
Jungkook, his lips curled into a smirk, walked away from the omega's land, his steps confident and assured.
"Stop coming back to this land," a familiar voice growled, cutting through the silence.
Jungkook turned, his smirk widening, to see Alpha Rogue Jimin standing before him, his eyes blazing with a cold fury.
"What if I don't want to listen to you?" Jungkook snickered, his voice laced with a mocking amusement.
"The reason why you keep coming back here is to see that woman omega," Jimin snarled, his voice filled with a chilling threat. "She's dead now. There's no reason for you to go back here anymore."
"You're right," Jungkook grinned, his eyes gleaming with a mischievous glint. "But I want to see the baby."
"Baby? What are you talking about?!" Jimin growled, grabbing Jungkook's collar, his grip tight, his eyes burning with a fierce anger.
"Why do you need to know?" Jungkook retorted, pushing the alpha rogue away, his expression a mixture of disdain and amusement. "Can you stop interfering with us? You're being too overprotective of him." He brushed off his collar, his face twisted with disgust.
"Taehyung isn't your boy toy," Jimin warned, his voice laced with a chilling threat. "If you think you can play with him, no, over my dead body. It's better for you to leave him before I do something to you."
"You can't scare me like this," Jungkook smirked, crossing his arms, his confidence unwavering. "What makes you think I will play with him? I know he's a doll, but I can't play with him."
"You should stay in your land," Jimin said, his voice filled with a fierce determination. "If you're looking for someone to fuck, you should look in your own land. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people living in your land." He clenched his fists, his anger palpable.
"You're right," Jungkook replied, his voice laced with a mocking amusement. "But none of them can reach my standard. But that omega, I want him to be mine."
"Give up now," Jimin snickered, his voice laced with a hint of amusement. "I'm telling you, Taehyung wants to be loyal to his mate, not just someone like you. He will only give himself to his mate, and he was waiting for the right time."
"Why are you so upset?" Jungkook inquired, his voice laced with a playful curiosity. "Is it because there is a huge chance for me that Taehyung will like me, or are you afraid that I might take him away from you? You like that omega, don't you?"
"Yes, I like him," Jimin retorted, his voice filled with a fierce determination. "So stop pushing yourself to him. I won't let you play with his feelings. If you are looking for a fuckbuddy, just go and find someone else."
"Are you afraid that I might do something the same thing to him with your sister?" Jungkook grinned, knowing he was pushing the rogue's buttons.
"Of course, I know you will hurt Taehyung like what you did to my sister," Jimin growled, gritting his teeth, his eyes burning with a cold fury. "You just know how to play with their feelings, asshole. I won't let you hurt him."
"As I told you, there's nothing to worry about," Jungkook replied, his voice laced with a false innocence. "Taehyung isn't her. They are very different in physical form. Taehyung is way more beautiful than her. I can't hurt someone's precious like Taehyung. I don't have any intention to him."
"Stop acting innocent," Jimin said, his voice filled with a chilling threat. "I do know what's your intention. Don't make the same mistake twice. You might regret it."
"Is that wrong if I want to get close to him?" Jungkook asked, his voice laced with a mocking amusement. "He seems no problem with it. Besides, he's not stupid, unlike your sister. She's easily fooled. She pushed herself to me, and so, me being a good person, I gave her what she wants."
"I don't want to listen to your fuss," Jimin said, turning to leave, his steps purposeful. "Just stop coming here."
"What if I told you I'm his mate?" Jungkook asked, his voice laced with a seductive confidence, his eyes gleaming with a mischievous glint. "What are you going to do?"
"Lies," Jimin remarked, his voice filled with a dismissive scorn. "There's no way Taehyung will be your mate. He doesn't like you at least a bit. If you are hoping that Taehyung will like you because of his kindness, lose it. That's just false hope. He's always like that. Remember that, Jeon." He turned and went inside the omega's land, his steps filled with a mixture of anger and determination.
Jungkook, his lips curled into a smirk, poked his inner cheek with his tongue, his eyes narrowed. He sighed, controlling his anger. He couldn't kill the midget yet. Not in front of the omega's land. He might ruin the land without knowing it.
Jimin, his mind racing, immediately went to Taehyung's room to see what Jungkook meant about the baby. He was perplexed to see the baby in the crib while Taehyung was taking care of him.
"Taehyung," he muttered, his voice laced with a mixture of concern and curiosity.
"Why did you just show up right now?" Taehyung asked, his voice filled with a mixture of anger and disappointment. "Don't you know I'm looking for you? Why can't I feel your presence here? Why have you gone missing for the whole week?"
"I'm sorry," Jimin replied, his voice filled with a sincere remorse. "I thought you're still mad at me, and you want space. That's why I went away for a while."
"But you never do that!" Taehyung yelled, wiping his tears with his paws like a child. "Missing for a whole week! Even though we fought, I can still feel your presence!"
Alpha Rogue Jimin walked in front of him and hugged him tightly, his grip possessive and protective.
"I'm so sorry," Jimin said, caressing Taehyung's back, his voice filled with a deep regret. "I thought you would like it. I'm sorry, I won't do that again."
"I hate you," Taehyung sobbed, his voice choked with emotion, his hands clutching on the rogue's jacket as if his life depended on it. "I hate you so much."
"I know," Alpha Rogue Jimin uttered, pecking the top of Taehyung's head, his touch gentle and reassuring.
"Don't leave me," the omega cried harder, sniffing Jimin's scent, finding comfort in his presence. "Don't leave me like that again. I will sue you. You know you're only my family. Don't do that again, Hyung."
Jimin released calming pheromones, their scent a soothing balm, calming the omega's anxiety and masking the lingering scent of Jungkook's pheromones in the room. Taehyung snuggled on Jimin's neck, hugging him tightly, his body seeking solace in the rogue's embrace.
