It was that lovely time of year. Winter, where snow falls, and roads get slick. The snow was piling up high at about 25 inches and it was getting colder by the day. So on one particular day The two love birds decided to go out and see some Christmas lights.
It's about the 15th of December. When the couple planned to go, seeing as it was a warmer day than it has been. They set out for the day and brought with them a thermos; Jiro had put hot tea in it. It was Momos favorite. Momo taught her how to make it so she wanted to surprise her.
As they walk, it began to get a little colder, Since the wind was just now starting up. Blowing light snow around. Jiro got closer to Yaoyorozu, just to get a little warmer. They make their way to Momos car, once unlocked, getting in and turning the heat on. As they wait for the car to heat up, they put their seat belts on and Momo pulls out of the driveway.
Cautiously pulling onto the road and heading to the location of the lights. It feels like an hour away but it's only a few short minutes away. Momo drives with one hand while the other is inside of Jiro's, they always held hands when either of them was driving.
Finally, they arrive, they find somewhere to park, you'll never believe where the lights were this year. At UA High, the same high school Mom and Jiro met, fell in love, and started dating. They both get out letting go of each other's hands for a moment. Only to be joined again as they start walking towards the entrance for the lights.
When you first walk through the gates it's something to behold. The Christmas lights lit it up so well, they didn't recognize their old high school at first. They look around at all the light displays, each different and placed uniquely to the others. Some are tall, some are small, some are medium and some are brighter.
It makes you think about all the individuals that made them the way they are. You never judge a book by its cover, nor people by what they wear, who they love, what they look like. Just like these lights. They are all different and unique but beautiful just the same.
Momo and Kyoka, walk through the light displays peacefully, holding each other's hands and pointing out some lights they thought would look cool to the other. They have a wonderful time together, talking softly to each other as well. Once they get towards the end, they find some of their old classmates.
Sort of like a reunion everyone hugs and catches up with one another. Ochaco with Tsu, Bakugo with Kirishma, and Todoroki and Midoriya. They all walk away from the light show together. Taking a walk to see all the other winter wonderland scenery. Momo starts to get thirsty, so Jiro hands her the thermos she brought with them. She takes a sip and gasps. She looks at Jiro curiously.
"Did you make my favorite kind of tea? All by yourself? That's amazing babe! Thank you so much!" Momo hugs Jiro, while also kissing her cheek. Jiro is bright red at this and starts shuddering but quickly calms down looking at Momo smile.
They all enjoy the rest of their night together but soon head home since it was getting dark. Momo and Jiro quickly return to their car and get in. Heating up the car once more and pulling away from UA High. They make it back safely and enter their house. Jiro sighs "Want to get in the shower first, or should I?"
Momo smiles "If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to take the first shower." Momo gets ready for her shower and soon hops in. Jiro starts making some hot chocolate and tea for her and Momo to drink. She then goes to sit on the couch. As she does so, she takes out a small box from her pocket and opens it. It's an engagement right for Momo.
She decides to give it to her tonight. But waits, Soon Momo is done with her shower and Jiro hops in. Momo smells the tea Jiro made her while she was in the shower. Momo then heads over to the tree they set up December 1st.
Under it is a small box with an engagement ring inside. Wanting to surprise Jiro she grabs it and puts it in her lap under a blanket. She then turns the tv on. Really not paying attention to the show.
Jiro is soon done with her shower and heads back out into the living room once dressed. She also grabbed her box but hid it. She then comes to sit next to Momo looking at the show she was watching, or not watching. "Momo, are you enjoying this? It doesn't seem like a show you'd be interested in."
Momo looks over at her "Huh? Oh, no I wasn't watching this. Sorry about that, but I have a present I want you to open tonight." She smiles and gets nervous suddenly Jiro smiles "Actually I have one I want you to open tonight as well. Just want to trade them now." Momo nods.
On the count of three they both give each other their gifts. Both girls look at the box's curiously. They both open them at the same time. Once they see the rings, they look up at each other, tears gathering in their eyes and smiles on their faces.
They hug one another saying yes to the rings. They put them on each other and take pictures together to celebrate their engagement. That night was spent cuddling under blankets and watching Christmas shows until midnight.
