Chapter 12: Talk and Ring

Yoongi hissed in pain as he regained consciousness on the ground, rubbing the back of his neck. Jimin had knocked him out, a decision that turned out to be more merciful than it seemed.

"Yoongi hyung, how's sleeping on the ground?" Namjoon teased, standing nearby with an amused expression.

"Where the fuck is that rogue?" Yoongi grumbled, finally sitting up.

"He was inside," Namjoon replied, chuckling. "He told me you were sleeping, but I didn't expect him to knock you out."

"And now you have time to tease me," Yoongi groaned, massaging his sore neck.

"I'm just happy—it's my first time seeing you knocked out," Namjoon laughed, helping Yoongi to his feet.

"Let’s go now. I'm going to kill him," Yoongi muttered, striding purposefully toward the entrance, with Namjoon following closely behind.

"Anyways, hyung, when will you tell Jimin about your feelings?" Namjoon suddenly asked, causing Yoongi to stop in his tracks.

"I don't know. I feel like I have no chance with him," Yoongi sighed, continuing to walk.

"But you barely see him! Now he's here; why don't you tell him before it gets too late?" Namjoon urged.

"It's already too late," Yoongi retorted, knowing Jimin’s affections lay elsewhere—primarily towards the omega.

Meanwhile, Taehyung was in the living room with Jungkook's mother, Ji-hye. He felt surprisingly comfortable with her; she was warm and kind, making sure he learned everything he needed to know about taking care of the baby.

However, Taehyung could feel the eyes of the two Alphas watching him closely, their protectiveness overwhelming. It was almost too much to handle.

"You two, can you leave us alone for a while? I want to teach Taehyung without someone watching us," Ji-hye grumbled, turning to glare at Jungkook and Yoongi.

"But Taehyung is new to this; he might hurt himself," Jungkook protested stubbornly.

"There's no way he will get hurt by taking care of the baby. Besides, I'm here—I can make sure he will be fine," Ji-hye asserted, her tone firm.

"It's better to watch here; I'm the one assigned to take care of him," Jungkook muttered, plopping down on the couch and pulling out his phone.

"Just leave us alone! I can't concentrate here!" Ji-hye growled, her frustration evident.

With that, the two Alphas reluctantly left the room, and Ji-hye sighed in relief.

"Did I scare you?" she asked, smiling at Taehyung. "I'm sorry. How can you handle their overprotectiveness? Geez, I want to punch them."

"It's okay," Taehyung giggled while feeding the baby. "I understand what they’re doing, and that’s not new for me."

"You know, it's my first time encountering my son bringing an omega here. He usually hates omegas because he sees them as enemies. Since we live in a land full of Alphas, I expected him to have an Alpha partner instead," Ji-hye mentioned.

"We met because one of my members made a mistake with him. Honestly, he's not my type; he was such a mean guy when I first met him," Taehyung admitted, a small pout forming on his lips.

"I know. He acts that way because he grew up in a family full of pride. But I'm so happy he's changing. I didn’t expect this, but I’ll be thankful to you if you help him change further," Ji-hye smiled, ruffling Taehyung's hair affectionately.

In the meantime, Jimin sat quietly on the couch when Jin entered the room.

"Jimin, you're here! It's been a while," Jin said, surprised to see the Alpha Rogue. But almost teasing him.

"Are you planning to stay here now?" Hoseok inquired, joining them.

"I don't have any intention to do that," Jimin replied curtly.

Jungkook, unable to resist, poked his inner cheeks with his tongue and smacked the back of Jimin's neck, knocking him out cold.

"Your disrespectful ass doesn't belong here, asshole. Sleep tight, yeah?" Jungkook chuckled as he took a sip of his banana milk.

"Where's the omega? Why can't I smell his scent? That's weird," Jin asked, changing the topic.

"It's better not to smell his scent. You guys might go crazy about how good it is," Jungkook said possessively.

"Oh, he's really beautiful, like you said," Namjoon remarked, staring at the stairs.

They all turned to see Taehyung descending the stairs, carrying the baby. Jungkook's heart swelled with pride as he stood up, walking toward Taehyung.

"You're done?" he asked, tucking a stray strand of hair behind Taehyung's ear.

"Yes, she taught me the basics. Thank you," Taehyung replied, a blush creeping onto his cheeks.

"That's good. Anyway, give the baby to my hyung; we're going somewhere else," Jungkook suddenly declared.

"Huh? But I and Jimin hyung had to leave..." Taehyung started to protest.

"He's sleeping; how can you go with him? Come on, it won't take too long," Jungkook interrupted, grabbing the baby from Taehyung and handing it to his mother.

He took Taehyung's hand, leading him outside while Taehyung looked back at Jimin, who was still unconscious on the couch.

"Where are we going?" Taehyung asked, climbing into the car.

"On a date," Jungkook replied, starting the engine.

As they drove, Taehyung looked at Jungkook curiously. "Be honest with me; Hyung isn't sleeping because he wants to. What did you do to him?"

"Don't worry. Just think he's not dead yet," Jungkook grinned mischievously.

"What do you mean?" Taehyung inquired, puzzled.

Jungkook parked the car on the side of the road and pulled something out of his pocket.

"Anyways, you have to wear this for your safety," he said, revealing a ring.

"Is this the same as the necklace? Will it hide my scent too?" Taehyung asked, examining the ring curiously.

"Not really, but I wore the same as yours," Jungkook replied casually.

"But why?" Taehyung pressed, his brow furrowing.

"It's to show that you are mine. They wouldn't dare come near you because they fear me. It's also to make sure that no one would hurt you," Jungkook smirked, his eyes flashing with possessiveness.

"Y-you don't have to; I'm fine with the necklace," Taehyung said shyly, biting his bottom lip.

"Then should I mark you instead?" Jungkook inquired playfully, his grin widening as he licked his fangs.

"N-no, I-I'll wear the ring. T-thank you," Taehyung quickly conceded, slipping the ring onto his finger.

"See? It's settled now." Jungkook chuckled, leaning in to peck Taehyung's lips before starting the engine again.

As they drove off, Taehyung felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. He had no idea what was in store for him, but one thing was certain: he was in for the ride of his life.
