Milos Point Of View

I grabbed the hot plates and swiftly walked over to my customers at the booth. A little family, two adults and a little girl who was adorable. I placed their food down along with the little girls strawberry milkshake, which she practically screamed in excitement and reached for it. I walked away with my serving tray and began lifting more hotplates and giving them out.

My day went by. The clock ticking away as it slowly darkened outside and I was closing tonight. I rarely close but tonight I had to. I pulled my heavy coat closer to me. The brisk, cold air nipping at my skin, shivering I began walking the short walk to my apartment. I turned right down the alleyway ive taken every time i go home from work, sometimes theres an odd drunk but ive learned to stand up for myself. I looked up at the night sky the only time the stars are visible in this bright city is in this dark alleyway.

I wasn't paying attention and all of a sudden i was on the ground. The impact knocking the air out of me. I landed on my side as i groaned and looked up, quickly getting up slightly disoriented from the fall. I seen a large man. His back facing mine as he focused his attention on something else. I peered round him and seen another man, hidden in the shadows unable to make out his features.

"You're not gonna get me" the man in front of me growled and i took this as my que to leave but my feet wouldn't move. They were stuck.

The man in the shadows didn't say anything instead a single gunshot rang out and the man before me feel to the ground. I gasped silently. My body began trembling in fear as I looked at the man in the shadows.

"Well, long time no see pup"...

That voice. He stepped out of the shadows. His features becoming clear under the moonlight shining into the alleyway. I couldn't believe it. It couldn't be him its been two years. Ive moved on with my life how has this happened. My voice was stuck in my throat and He only chuckled.

"E-Erik" I stammered.

He smirked at me. He didnt look any different, maybe slightly buffer.

"You know, boss has been missing you. We all thought you died" he stated, stepping forward and kicking the hand of the man on the ground.

"Wh-What?" Thats why Dimitri left me, because he thought i died.

"Yeah boss came out from the hospital and said you died and that was it" He stated with no emotion, his face becoming dark.

"But youre alive! Thats great now i can bring you back to boss and make everything better" He grinned and stepped towards me. I stepped back, gaining feeling in my legs again.

"Wh-what? N-no. I have a life, its been two years. I thought di-. I thought He didn't want me anymore. I moved on with my life" i explained nervously.

"Well, if thats the case. I won't force you but i will be telling boss" he sighed, turning around to face the dark alleyway. He turned his head over his shoulder.

"Its good to see you again Milo. We have all missed you. Boss hasn't been the same" and with that he left into the shadows.

I sighed, body relaxing as i took a deep breath and felt my phone buzz.

A text from Owen.

"Hey its pretty late, are you okay?"

I quickly replied stating. I had to clean up some more and quickly rushed back to his apartment, mixed emotions and old feelings bubbling and resurfacing inside me.

Ahh! This is long over due and im so sorry its so late. I just hadnt had the time. I completely lost motivation for everything in my life as well as this something that actually helped and gave me something to do. I will try and get back into writing.
