(The Job Interview)

Five years later present time

      Wednesday December 1st 2021

I was sleeping on the couch till I felt the licks of my little puppy's kisses, I slowly opened my eyes as she sat comfortably on my chest. I squinted my eyes at her then she barked which made me laugh her little bark is the cutest thing.

"Ok, love let me get up" I say to her pointing down to the floor, but she didn't get off, I was about to get up anyway but then a loud knock came from the door, and the I instantly fell to the ground.

Soon enough love went over to the door and barked and barked, "shhhhh, love other people are sleeping" she looked back at me and whined, I just rolled my eyes, then she went back to barking.

"I'm coming" I hollered hoping the person behind the door would stop knocking so Love could stop barking, but that hope went to loss, the person continued to knock and Love continued to bark.

"Damit, give me a break, it's like seven in the morning" I say pushing myself up.

I walk over to the door and look through the door hole, I sighed it was only Landon, "shh Love it's only Landon", but she didn't care I laughed and then opened the door, as soon as the door opened Love looked at Landon and stopped barking.

"See, what did I tell you" then she walked off.

I looked at Landon and smiled as he gave me a smirk, he pulled me in close and then he gently kissed my lips, Landon has been my rock for the past two years were not officially dating but hes the person that waited for me while I was getting over the break up, and that took at least two years, I took me one year till I realized I liked him and that he liked me too, but we both agreed will take it slow.

Suddenly Love started barking again which led to us braking the kiss I rolled my eyes.

"Someones hungry" he said with a chuckle, "come on, take a seat I'll feed her" he then walked in and sat on the couch, and then I slammed the door.

I walked to the kitchen and opened the lid to the food and put it into the dish, Love then herd the sound of the food hitting the bowl and she came running.

"Kelsey, did you sleep on the couch last night" Landon said randomly , "um yeah I just passed out that's all" I answered walking over to him, he then looked up at me and gave me a serious look.

"Kelsey, your lying" this man he can read me like a book, I sighed, "don't worry I'll get a bed soon I ju-" he then cut me off, "you just didn't get to it yet" he then quickly got up and walked closer to me "Kelsey, I know you won't let me help you, but you need a job".

"I know, I know Love needs more food and I need a bed, I get it, I've been looking but" I took a deepbreath in and then out.

It's no secret I've been having a hard time since I moved out of my aunt's house, but it's not like I could live there forever.

Landon then looked into my eyes and brushed aside the hair in my face.

"Say no more, I know times are tough"
Landon then held me in his arms and a little tear dripped from my face.

"I know you don't want me to help but" he said looking straight into my eyes.
