**The picture is what Mavis looks like, though of course she would be 12 and look like a Gravity Falls character**

Mavis? Pssst - Mavis. Mavis!" Mabel said, as she shook me awake. "Ugh... Five more minutes." I groaned, turning away from her. She turned me back over, "No, you overslept, you have to get up before Stan or Ford notice!" She warned, putting my clothes on top of me. I sat up and saw what she laid out, a red flannel button up shirt with black jeans and black tennis shoes. "Thanks Mabel. What could I possibly do without you?" I smiled at her.

"No problem, and absolutely nothing, you know this!" We both giggled and she headed downstairs, my smiled faded once she was gone. I don't know why but Mabel always cheers me up, her positive attitude is contagious. No matter what happens she always seems to have the ability to put a smile back on her face.

But enough thinking. Like my sister said I have to put on my clothes and get downstairs before either of our Great Uncles notice. I quickly slipped on my shirt and pants but as I was putting on my shoes I heard my stomach growl, I was starving... None of us had eaten dinner because Dipper and I were out past curfew and got punished for it. And now none of us can eat breakfast because I had a nightmare...

And got punished for it.

I'm sure Dipper and Mabel are hungry too, maybe before we have to start working we could go find somewhere to get some food...

I finished getting myself together and headed downstairs. When I got down Dipper was in the corner reading a book while Mabel sat next to him, knitting. She always knitted these really interesting sweaters, Ford and Stan never let her wear them though, she had to dress 'normally like everyone else.' I felt really bad, she loved the sweaters she knit. Though, she would sell them to kids who came into the Mystery Shack.

Oh right, I haven't explained. Basically in order to pay mortgage, bills, and the HUGE electric bill, our Great Uncles turned their home into a tourist spot where random people can just come in a buy some of Ford's inventions and tacky stuff Stan throws together. Some go for just 5 dollars and others go for 500 dollars. It was a really smart idea on their part.

Guess who is forced to handle all of the restocking, cleaning and customer service? Yup, you guessed it. Mason, Mavis, and Mabel Pines! ...Yaaaaay.... it's really exhausting. Not to mention we get loads of rude people come in... it sucks. Mabels the only one who somewhat gets to have fun, she gets to interact with people and tell them about Ford's stuff. While Mason and I have to clean everything and set up everything...

Though, of course, we do get some free time. After we close, before we open, holidays, breaks, and if business is slow. During our free time, Mason and I love to go out and explore the town and the woods. We both even have our own journals to write everything we find in. They are these tiny little pocket-sized journals but, we still love to write in them. We kinda stole the idea from Ford after we saw him writing in a journal. his is red with a golden six-fingered hand in the middle, Mason's is white with a blue PineTree in the middle, and mine is black with a white triangle with a singular eye in the middle. I don't know why we chose these designs, well, Mason was given a hat with his design on it by one of his friends named Wendy Corduroy and our great uncle has six fingers on his hands which explains his design, but I don't know why I chose mine. Eh, it's probably not important.

Mabel on the other hand whenever she's free just likes to go hang out with her friend Pacifica Northwest or go upstairs and play with a little pig stuffed animal she named Waddles, she's had that thing since we were 5. It's kinda weird, but I understand. It's the last thing she has of our parents. When we first got here, the way Ford and Stan would punish us was by taking things that were sentimental and would beat us if we asked to have it back. Mason and I don't have anything left but Mabel has hidden Waddles quite well so It's never been found She loves and cherishes it with all her heart and does everything she can to make sure it's not taken away.

"Hey guys..." I said, walking up to my siblings. Both said hi and went back to what they were doing as I sat down in front of them and started writing in my journal for a few minutes. "I can't anymore. I'm starving. I need something to eat." Mabel said, putting down her stuff. I put down my journal and Mason put down his book. "I am too, but we don't have any money for food and the two men who are supposed to be taking care of us won't give us any." He said, completely annoyed.

"Wait, we still have an hour or two before work, why don't we go to Pacifica's house, she'll give us some food." Mabel offered. "That's not a bad idea... but we only have an hour so let's go!" I say. Our great uncles don't really care what we do when we have time to ourselves, as long as we're not bothering them. With that, my siblings and I put our stuff away and quickly head out.
