First day

~𝚢/𝚗'𝚜 𝚙𝚘𝚟~
It was the first day of my new school, great. My family (except for my mum, she's a muggle) was certain I'd get into Hufflepuff due to my whole family being sorted into that house, but honestly I couldn't care less about which house was for me I was secretly fancying Gryffindor. We had to move to the muggle world for a while because of the last wizarding war which my parents were supposed to take part in but my mother was pregnant with me so we fled and never looked back. My father was worried about Hogwarts so for 3 years he hid my letters, until I finally got to go. I was so exited because I've never really had true friends. Anyways, back to now I'm going to board the train any minute, "stay safe y/n!" My father yelled. "I promise I will father! Now I need to go!" I hollered back as I stepped on the train. Just as I got on I heard some commotion from some kids in a seating area of the train. "Fred! Be quiet your gonna get us in trouble the last thing we need is to get kicked off the train as well!" A ginger boy said as he hovered over two boys that looked like twins sitting down on the seat. "Mind if I sit? Everywhere is taken." I said hoping I could figure out what on earth was going on, "uh uhm sure! I'll be leaving, I can easily find another spot" the ginger boy said as he walked past me while staring and not to soon running off somewhere on the train. "Hey I'm Fred, Fred Weasley" one ginger boy started "and I'm George, George Weasley" the other finished. "Nice to meet you I'm y/n, y/n smith" "oh! So your the new kid! Well well! I'm Lee Jordan!" A brown haired boy said as he walked in. The boys started giggling "what's so funny?" I asked, "oh nothing" Fred said as the twins grinned, I rolled my eyes.

The train came to a stop and we were at Hogwarts. "So I'm guessing you don't know your house yet, I'll help with that. Just follow the first years with Hagrid and then you will get sorted! Better get sorted into Gryffindor y/n!" Lee happily said. "You can only hope" I grinned. I followed Hagrid all the way to Hogwarts right before I'm guessing is the kitchen, and a older looking lady stopped us. I wasn't paying attention for most of it but I listened close as she said "now before you can take your seats you must be sorted into your houses, they are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin." I looked over to see a younger blonde boy grin as he looked over to a black haired boy "so it's true than, Harry Potter as come to Hogwarts." I gasped, I've heard about him the boy who lived as everyone says. He walked over to him "I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy" the red head I saw with Fred and George snickered "you think my names funny do you? Red hair and a hand me down robe? You must be a Weasley." Draco said as he scoffed, now I really just met the twins but I knew I'd be friends with them for long so angrily I strutted up to Draco "beat it" he quickly walked as I said those words. I winked at the red head as the older lady came back. We followed her into the ginormous room full of kids and in the front there was a chair and a hat, remembering what Lee said I knew I was going to be sorted soon. "Now once I call your names you must come up here to get sorted into your house" the older lady said. "Hermione Granger" a younger girl with light brown hair walked up there, as I nervously looked around all I heard from the hat was "GRYFFINDOR" the Gryffindor table roared loudly as they welcomed her. A few more kids were called then "y/n Smith!" I locked eyes with the lady and walked up shaking 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐬? 𝐈𝐭𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠! I thought to myself. I sat and the hat went on my head "hmmm this one is difficult. kind, brave,..." the hat went on as I looked around and the twins caught my gaze they mouthed 'gryffindor' I grinned. I shifted my gaze to another table with caramel  colored hair and a gorgeous smile he locked eyes with me and smiled.
