Sara couldn't sleep, her mind was racing at 100 miles an hour, she hadn't slept in her apartment in 10 years, it felt weird but homely. Nyssa was asleep next to her which made Sara beyond happy, but she couldn't quite shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen.
She'd often had these feelings when she was blind then touch someone and have a vision. She didn't know whether she still had her powers or not so she decided to test it out on Nyssa.
She reached her arm across Nyssa's waist, grabbing her arm and instantly getting a vision. It was her, bleeding out while Nyssa stood over her, crying. She was not dead but hurt. She didn't care what happened to her as long as Nyssa was safe.
Sara then shot up in bed, breathing heavily and gasping for breath, like she had just been stabbed. "Habibti." Nyssa said, sitting up, a little slower than her fiancé. Sara wrapped her arms around Nyssa's waist and held her tightly. "What's the matter?"
"You know when I said I got blinded?" Sara asks, her voice a soft, calm tone.
"Yes." Nyssa replies, grabbing her hand and squeezing it for a little encouragement.
"Because I got blinded by a fate, I had this thing where I could see the future. But before that I had this feeling like something was going to happen." Sara tries to explain.
"Okay." Nyssa said.
"But when I could see again they were gone, which is good because I really hate superpowers it's really tiring."
"Beloved, your going off topic." Nyssa smiles, she'd missed Sara and her conversations diving from one subject to another in a matter of seconds.
"Right, sorry. Anyway, I thought they were gone but I had that feeling again a minute ago, and then I touched you and saw the future." Sara tells her.
"Okay, what did you see?" Nyssa asks, a little reluctantly, she wasn't sure whether or not she wanted to know but at the same time she did, maybe so she could prevent it in any way possible.
"I saw... me with a sword through my stomach and you were there, it was dark, no lights, and you were crying and then I was back here." The blonde tells her.
Nyssa's grip had grown tighter since Sara told her what happened, it almost hurt at how tight Nyssa clung to her, but she didn't move, if her fiancé needed this, then she would let her.
"Sara." Nyssa whispers.
"Mm." Sara hummed.
"How accurate are your visions?" The brunette asks.
"They are usually what plays out, but we can still change them." Sara tells her.
"Can you give me an example?" Nyssa asks.
"Well, Agent Shape... the one who had a crush on me has this assistant. His name is Gary, they both went to hell to kill this woman called Astra, I didn't go because I was in a coma. Anyway, Gary brought back a dog from hell, turns out it was a demon and tried to make me kill everyone but my visions showed me what happened. Everyone thought I was crazy but it turned out to be true and no one died." The blonde tells her fiancé.
"So how do we prevent you from being stabbed Habibti?" The brunette asks.
"I don't know, we just have to live our lives. But don't do anything rash. I didn't die in my vision so that's a plus." Sara tells her.
"Sara, promise you'll do anything in your power to not get yourself killed." Nyssa says.
"I promise, you too." Sara says.
"I promise habibti." Nyssa sighs and lays back down.
Sara dose too, but she snuggles closer to Nyssa than she usually dose, if this was to be her final night uninjured or alive then she wants so spend it with Nyssa.
"Sleep, beloved, I do have a job, you are coming to are you not?" Nyssa says.
"Of course." Sara replies, closing her eyes. She felt the rise and fall of Nyssa's heartbeat and instantly fell straight to sleep, wrapped up in her beloved's arms.
