Her breath was heavy and her footsteps light as she raced along with the damp concrete. People jumped out of her way and others got toppled by her speed and momentum.
She took a sharp turn into an alleyway without stopping only to come out the other side into the open street. More water soaked her socks and shoes before she came to a stop in front of an older building. Wasting no time to open the door, she immediately saw the Chinese decor she was familiar with and the smell of a fresh pot of tea.
"What's the emergency!" Marinette said bursting through the door, Tikki following close behind.
A startled master Fu looked up at her, his hands on a teapot and Wayzz floating next to his head. "Marinette! What brings you here?"
"You sent me an emergency level text!" Marinette said, taking out her phone and showing the text to Master Fu.
'Code RED!!!!'
Master Fu read it and looked at Mari with his eyebrows raised, "Doesn't that mean I made tea and your welcome to come and have some?" he said.
Marinette's eyes went wide, "Not usually, no." She whispered then collapsed onto the cushion and set her head on the table, "well might as well have some." She said.
Master fu nodded and got another cup to pour some tea into, then offered it the winded girl. "It seems you're tired Marinette."
Mari sat up. "Yeah, well I sure could use a break, I'm being pulled here and there every second of the day! School! Akuma! Bakery! Along with every other little thing in life!" she momentarily rambled.
"Well, it does add up." Master Fu calmly said. "I believe other heroes feel the same, even Chat Noir."
"You think?" She mumbled.
"I think you all should take a break. A retreat you might say." The Elder suggested.
"That would be nice, but it's not like we can just send a letter to hawkmoth saying, 'Hey hawky, Us Miraculers aren't gonna be in town for a while so no point in akumatizing anyone to get out miraculous. Consider this a vacation, enjoy your break!'. Can we?" Marinette said.
"Sure we can, it shouldn't be too hard to get the message across," Fu said as Mari raised her eyebrows.
"Really?" She said surprised and sorta excited.
"Would you like me to draw up some details? We can discuss more once you get back," he said.
"Back from what?" Marinette asked clueless seconds before an Akuma alert rang on her phone. Her eyes widened and she looked at Master Fu before running out the door.
He chuckled as he heard a soft, 'Tikki, spots on!". He then got on his phone and pressed an icon with a maroon feather on it and called the number.
Hey, master Fu, I miss you in the real show.
"It's going to be difficult for them from now on, this retreat thing is a good idea."
You think? I already have the details sorted out, I'll send them to you, it shouldn't be too hard from there.
"I don't doubt it. Hey, was sending a code red really necessary?"
Of course it was. This is a comedy after all.
"It'll be great. I'll help get this started, good luck Scarlet."
Thank you, Master Fu. And to all my readers I hope you enjoy the beginning of a fun series of events between the miraculous holders. When the time comes, don't forget to common, vote, and follow if you like. I really appreciate it.
Don't get akumatized
