CHAPTER 24

MINA's POV
It's been a while I've been visit Jeon-ju again after what happened, I visit the old house of Chaeyoung, I saw JB and Jungkook at the sushi resto they been working for a months now it's nice to see them again.

They even greet me and approach me " How are you? It's been a while Mina" JB asked me and I answered JB " Yeah it is" in polite way as I heard the birds flies *tweet.. tweet..* 🐥

Jungkook asked me " Did you visit the pond?" in polite way and I answered Jungkook " No not yet" in serious way with soft tone

*FAST FORWARD* ( at the pond)
I was not planning to visit the pond but something encourage me to go there as the winds pass by, so I decided to walk towards there as I reach at that area at the river pond.

I saw a boat beside of the wood bridge looks like Chaeyoung and Somi used to ride on, so I decided to ride it and padel it as I go to the area that Somi and Chaeyoung used to place their boat and I stay there for a while,

And I reminisce the moments that me and Chaeyoung share it, when I first meet her again how she makes my heart flutters I miss that.

After 1 year past by, I still can't move on of what happened back then, I still hunting about the past I even blame myself, I always dreamed that moment when Chaeyoung was with me at that time then suddenly my tears flows into my face I can't control myself but to burst into tears like I was a kid who been left alone.

*FLASHBACKS* (when the time we searching for Chaeyoung)
I was devastated at that time I never thought that will be happened I feel I lost my wings who gave me courage to fight my love with her

I was all wet and spacing out like I'm going crazy I saw Somi still unconscious and JB tried to CPR her I even near at her sight and she got shot on her shoulder.

Until medics came and revive Somi I just only stare Somi while I'm crying when suddenly Somi breaths and wake up as she was going to stand up as she wants to go to the river and looks out for Chaeyoung

As I saw Somi was not unconscious I immediately near at her sight and approach by shaking her instead of got angry at Somi worries I felt not only for my friend and step sister Somi but also Chaeyoung who still never been found it yet.

Somi still not in herself I even asked her " WHERE'S CHAEYOUNG WHAT HAPPENED BACK THERE AT THE BOAT TELL ME!!!!! SOMIII" in furious way as I wanted to know why and how she get that wounds in her shoulder but Somi didn't say anything as she was spacing out and Somi just saying " CHAEYOUNG Chaeyoung" in soft tone as she mumbles calling Chaeyoung's name while her tears flowing she's calling Chaeyoung's name even I cried to as well

Until the cost guard came back and I immediately rush into them while Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Nayeon and Sana asked about the search of Chaeyoung at the cost guard officer if they already find Chaeyoung.

As I reach at them their faces turns into sad as like they found Chaeyoung so

I asked the Officer " How's the searching for Chaeyoung Mr. officer? Did you find her alive breathing?" in hoping way but the Officer became silent for a second, as he wasn't want me to be hopeless.

I added " Officer ANSWER ME? WHERE'S CHAEYOUNG?? DID YOU FOUND HER ALREADY?!! PLEASE OFFICER" as I was begging him to speak then Jihyo pat my back as they know what's the answered and

Jeongyeon said " Brave yourself but you have to calm down" I answered " OKay! yes! I'm calm down just tell me did they find her?"

Then The Officer answered " We didn't find Ms. Son Chaeyoung the current was strong we tried to swim under, but we didn't sees a sight of her, she might be dead and her body might be at the shore but theirs a possibility she's still at the under deep river.

I was shocked of what I've heard I don't know what to say that they didn't find Chaeyoung I'm about to faint of the report they said to me.

*BACK IN REAL TIME* (at the boat)
MINA's POV
I got breakdown after that happened but deep inside I felt something saying to my heart that Chaeyoung still alive, eventhough they didn't find her body and thinking Chaeyoung is dead

But for she always alive to me and I'll will be always waiting for her to come back to me

After that incident happened they even revealed that someone want to kill to Somi and Chaeyoung but the hit man target was Chaeyoung that was the Officers thinks because of what Somi statement when they both got shot at that time

While I was going back at shore I saw Somi waiting for me as I get down the boat Somi approach me and Somi greet and asked me

" Hey! How are you?" in soft tone with guilt as she was blaming herself not saving her

I answered back " I'm fine, how about you?" Somi answered " I'm okay" I added " Are you still blaming yourself?" as I doesn't want Somi to blame herself Somi added " Yeah kinda, I still always remember That day.. that day that moment as she was go towards at my sight checking me if I was fine, when I got shot I see her face she's was so worried to me then she immediately padel the boat as we about to near at the shore we heard another gunshot it was I felt it was so near then I saw Chaeyoung as she turns around she got slipped and lost her balance causing her fall into the water I immediately follow Chaeyoung and jumped as I want to save her and try to reach her hand but the current was so strong, I didn't reach her I saw her she was shot on her chest and I saw her just stare at and close eyes as she was giving up I tried I tried to save her" in shuttering way as Somi burst into tears while I'm listening Somi's story about what happened at that time.

As Somi cried I suddenly my tears into my eyes it's heartbreaking it hurts me I always wonder if Chaeyoung got scared and she looks for me while she needed help, I wonder where's she's now?

After Somi and I talked to each other as about to leave Somi added " Chaeyoung loves you so much she told that at time before she disappeared" then when I heard that I can't stop crying as that what I wanna hear from Chaeyoung " Why this world is so unfair? why me? why us?" I said to myself *In my thoughts*

Somi comfort me and I answered " Thank you so much Thank you Somi"

Somi and I say goodbyes to each other as we walked our paths in other way.

Meanwhile I decided to stopped by at the street food the Teokbokki shop that Chaeyoung favorite after I finished my food as I about to cross the line with surroundings by many people someone caught my eye a girl who was pass by my left side in other way as I turn around it made me shocked I can't believe I saw her again

it was CHAEYOUNG!!!
I immediately called her name but she didn't looks around at my sight until I reach her wrist

It's really her Chaeyoung is ALIVE! our eyes just met and stare to each other like we're both in shocked as I was missing her so much.

(They just heard the sound their hearts and winds pass by through their ears)
