'It's been 45 minutes since my coworkers left the building,' Kento thought as he checked his watch. "I should get out of here now, she's probably still waiting for me," he added as he saved his file and turned off the computer. He then walked out of the room and down the elevator, hoping that the machine would go faster so that his wife wouldn't have to come and fetch him. Y/N, on the other hand, had been concerned about her husband for half an hour and had attempted to contact him but discovered that he had left his phone at home. 'He'll probably stay the night there again,' Y/N thought, snapping out of her thoughts and deciding to wait for him on the couch while reading a book.
Returning to the present, Kento is in a taxi, searching for his phone in his pockets, only to discover that he had forgotten to bring it, and he begins to curse himself about not being able to contact his lover. 'I hope she's alright,' he thought as he stared at the window, counting down the seconds. He whispered, massaging both of his temples, "She's probably asleep now."
Kento is already 10 minutes into the ride and is slowly falling asleep.
"Is this your stop, sir?" said the driver as he approached his and his wife's home.
"Yes, thank you," Kento said as he handed him his payment and exited the vehicle. 'I'm finally here, huh,' he thought as he looked around his house, before approaching the door and rang the doorbell, saying the password Y/N as a sign that it was him.
He rang the doorbell and knocked, his movements synchronized with the sound of the doorbell. There was no response. He was tired of standing and went to turn the doorknob, only to find the door open. 'Huh?' he wondered, becoming concerned. Slowly opening the door, he heard a familiar mutter that made him relax his guard.
"I'm home," he whispered softly, only to be met with gentle snores. He smiled and moved up to her, removing the book off her face and pecking her lips. "Hello, love," he said softly as he placed his workbag on the space left on the couch and carried Y/N in a bridal style into their shared bedroom, gently laying her on the bed and smiling softly.
The last thing he heard from her that night was, "Next time, come home early..."
"I'll try doing that next time," he said, kissing her on the forehead as she smiled and drifted off to her deep sleep.
