Allie's jaw dropped.
"You did what?" Her expression sent Erick into laughter.
"I rented us a log cabin to celebrate Christmas"
"But aren't there like..." Allie counted in her head.
"A lot of people? Babe, look" Her husband opened his phone, turning the screen towards her and Allie gasped.
The cabin was Huge. With a capital H.
"How much are you paying for this?"
"Not gonna tell. Besides I'm earning a good amount of money now" He winked.
A year before their wives had become pregnant, the boys announced a hiatus to explore what they could do by themselves.
Everyone was gutted but also proud of them.
All their solo singing careers seemed to be going well.
That was how Erick had managed to buy them a house in downtown Miami, in an isolated area near the beach.
Allie sighed.
"You know, it's been kinda hard to keep in touch with them. The only people i still talk to are Michelle and Maggie"
"So let's call it a reunion?"
"Erick"
"Please?"
"Erick"
"We'll take Hayden too"
"Erick!"
"What?" He said, obviously jittery.
"It's a yes"
"Thank God"
With the grace of a two year old, he flung his arms around Allie and gave her a big smack on the cheek.
"Yay! Family hug!" Hayden ran to them and they fell in a laughing heap to the floor.
After both of her boys had drifted off, Allie walked to the living room to clean up when her eyes fell on the empty cookie jar.
"Hayden" She shook her head, smiling.

Lying down on the couch, she sat back, opening her phone.
The 'Holiday besties' group chat stared back at her.
Making a split second decision, she typed a message and hit send.

Allie : How do yall feel about an xmas reunion??
