Chapter 1~ New Neighbor?

Author's Note: Hey guys, so I'm back after a very long hiatus. I will be slowly reuploading chapters because I felt like the ones I made before weren't that great especially since I started writing them I think around 13 or 14. After I get up to 9 chapters I will create an upload schedule, so you can know when I will be posting. Enjoy the rest of the chapter.

"Mommy, can we play hide and seek in the woods?"

"Sure, my little Sky, but remember not to go past the red mark."

Me and mommy packed a blanket and some lunch so that we can have a picnic in the woods. The woods are my favorite and I could stay there forever. Me and mommy reach the lake in the woods. It's so beautiful, you could say it's made of magic. The lake glistens like glitter; the trees are so tall that if giants where real, they would be shorter than the trees; and the grass is so green it looks like fairies have made them. There are also tons of flowers. I asked my mommy who planted all the flowers and she said mother nature. Mother Nature must be pretty and powerful if she can plant so many flowers. Maybe I will meet her one day and when I do I will thank her for the flowers. I wonder if anyone has met her. After lunch, we decided to play hide and seek.

"You hide, and I'll count to 10," Mommy said.

I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. Once I was tired, I decided to look for the tallest tree to climb. Suddenly, I hear leaves crunching. Thinking it's my mommy, I hid behind a tree because there was no time to climb.

"Sky come out, come out wherever you are," a man called out.

I don't know this man. Mommy said if a person calls your name and you don't know them, don't go near them. So I stayed behind the tree. I heard footsteps coming towards me. I held my breath to not make a sound. The footsteps now sounded like they were right behind.

"Run," I hear whispered in my ear.

Crash! I wake up disoriented and see a guy messing with my things. His back was towards me. I slowly get out of bed and grabbed a gun from under my pillow. I start inching towards him quietly.

"What the fuck are you doing in my room!" I yell pointing the gun towards the guy.

He turns around and quickly puts his hands up looking scared.

"It's not what it looks like," he says keeping eye contact with me.

"Oh really, because it seems to me that you were trying to steal my things. Now I suggest you get out of my room and my house on the count of three before I blow your brains out!"

"Wait, wait, wait! This is a big misunderstanding I wasn't trying to steal from you, I was just admiring your stuff."

"Yeah and I'm a fucking dolphin. One!"

"I'm telling the truth just let me explain what I'm doing he-"

"Two!"

"I was here to wake you up."

"Three! Say goodbye because you're dead meat!"

Before I can even pull the trigger my door opens.

"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you – Skylar what in the world are you doing!" My mom screams.

"This guy was trying to rob me. I was just about to show him he picked the wrong person to rob." I tell my mom still pointing the gun at the guy.

"Honey that's not a robber, that's our new neighbor.
