Vanya POV
I woke up to the beeping of my alarm clock and with my sleepy eyes turned it off and get up.

I walk to the bathroom that my dorm have and it's not that bad, pretty standard sized bathroom.

I take a shower, brush my teeth, and wash my face. I rummage through my clothes and decided to not look like a retard and wear something an actual college student would, but still in my comfort zone.

I pulled out some clothes that Allison bought for me that I never wore and a plaid hoodie that I bought because it was on sale, a beanie, and some converse.

I heard a knock on my door and when I opened it, a girl with pigtails and yellow jacket is looking back at me.

"Hey! My name is Jubilation Lee but just call me Jubilee, I was told there's a new student and I can show you around"
She said as she lend out her hand and I took it shaking her hand.

"Uh yeah! I'm Vanya, Vanya Hargreeves. And nice to meet you Jubilee"
-Vanya

"No need to be so formal with me, c'mon I'll show you around. Nice outfit btw"
-Jubilee

"Oh uh thanks, should I bring the books for my first class or?"
-Vanya

"Oh yeah, you have history first. You'll be in the same class as Jean grey, I believe you've met right?"
-Jubilee

"Yeah, she gave me my books and time table yesterday"
-Vanya

"Sooo what's your power? What kind of mutant are you?"
-Jubilee

"Oh well um, those questions are a little complicated if you don't mind"
-Vanya

"It's okay no pressure"
-Jubilee

"Alright uh, see you later then?"
-Vanya

"See you layer Vanny"

After classes

I was just finished with classes and now Professor called me in my dorm, I say goodbye to Jean and Jubilee, yes we're friends now, and I went to my dorm.

I opened the door to my dorm and Professor is waiting with a blonde woman.

"Ah Vanya, please sit down. I need to talk to you about your training"
-Charles

"Training?"
-Vanya

"Yes, that's what I need to talk to you about"
-Charles

I put my books on my desk and sit down on my bed.

"Since I recall you're not able to control your powers I called in a friend of mine to help you"
-Charles

"Raven Darkholme, nice to meet you"
The woman said lending out her hand for me to shake, I shook her hand back.

"Vanya Hargreeves, pleasure to meet you"
-Vanya

"I would also like to make an offer for you"
-Charles

"What is it?"
-Vanya

"I once asked Jean for this position but she declined and I was wondering if you'd take it"
-Charles

"What position"
-Vanya

"Ms. Vanya, would you do the honor of being my protégé?"
-Charles

"I would love to, yes"
-Vanya

"Fantastic, now if you wouldn't mind I have some things to do so I excuse myself"
-Charles

After that Professor left me alone with Raven.

"Well, let's talk about your powers first shall we? So we can see what we're dealing with"
-Raven

"Ms. Raven if you don't mind me asking, what's your ability?"
-Vanya

"Just call me Raven it's fine, and my ability is to shapeshift, I can also absorb the memories, personality, and skills or powers of whomever I touch"
-Raven

"That sounds amazing"
-Vanya

"Thank you, now what about you? I know from Charles that you're not a mutant so what's your ability?"
-Raven

"Well, I got whole list of powers that I concluded"
-Vanya

"And those are?"
-Raven

"-Sound absorption
-Sound manipulation
-Telekinesis
-Sound projection
-Energy projection
-Force field generation
-Matter manipulation
-Enhanced hearing
-Atmokinesis
-Mind manipulation/control."
-Vanya

"Wow, that's...a lot. Let's go somewhere we can train"
-Raven

After that we went out to a field where the students can play, study, do their homework, or even archery.

"Alright, show me what you can do"
-Raven

I focused on the lake and close my eyes, I hear the ringing in my ear and focus on the sound of the water. I open my eyes and saw that my chest is glowing and the lake is no longer filled with water but instead the water floats above it, and out of panic and anxiety I stopped controlling the water and it drops back into the lake making a huge splash.

"That was extraordinary, anything else? You said there's more power"
-Raven

"I can manipulate sound to destroy things, for example I can direct a sound of a ringing glass to destroy it. I can also control the weather based on my emotion, when I'm sad or angry it makes a storm and heavy rain. I can absorb sound and use them against a target. I can also control somebody's mind but only when I'm playing my violin"
-Vanya

"Now I see why Charles wanted me to train you, now let's get started shall we?"
-Raven

I gulped and took a breath, this is my new start.
