Farewell to You (Deku x Reader)

Chapter 14~The phone call

2 weeks have  passed since you last saw Izuku, ever since that night you've been feeling a little down. You can't help but feel guilty, and just the thought of that night makes you want to burst into tears. But you ignore the pain and sorrow your feeling. Izuku has been trying to call and text you but you refuse to respond. You think that you'll just end up messing things up.

The best thing to do is to keep my distance...Just listen to my conscious, it's the best thing to do for now...

"Y/N!" your grandma says as she interrupts your thoughts. You look up at her. She has an excited look on her face.

"Yea..?" You say, she holds up her phone.

"It's the doctors! They say that your moms ok to be let out!" She says. Slowly, a slight smile appears on your face. I finally get to see mom...

"C-can they put her own the phone!?" You ask eagerly. Your grandma nods.

"I'll ask." She walks into the kitchen as she continues on with the phone call. I can finally see mom again!  Which means I can go back to Mutusafu-
You pause.
Oh...
You sigh and sit back down on the couch.
If I go back, then of course Izuku will try to look for me.
You hold out your hand and stare at it.
I can't manage to cause any more damage. I-I guess I-I-I'll just have to try to.....avoid him. Something inside of you make you not want to though. You push those feelings down. If this is what it takes to keep him and me safe...then so be it!

"Y/N, they have her on the phone!" You grandma calls out. Your face lights up. Mom!
You get up and walk into the kitchen as your grandma hands you the phone.

It soothes you to hear her voice again, its beens so long.

~Mom! Are you ok!? How are you doing!?

Your mom laughs.

•Oh Y/N, in doing fine. You have nothing to worry about.

You sigh in relief

•I told you the doctors would fix me up, sooner than I expected. I do have a few injures like a broken leg and some stiches and bruises here and there, but overall I'm fine!

~I'm so relieved to hear that you're better, so when do you think you'll be out?

•The doctor says they'll have me out by tomorrow, which means you'll be leaving tomorrow to come back. Have grandma and grandpa been taking good care of you?

~Of course! They've made me feel right at home here!

•Well I'm glad to hear that.

She clears her throat.

•Sooooo.......how's it been going with that green haired boy....?

She teases you.

~O-oh, um ok...I guess....

You say in a mellow tone.

She pauses.

•Ok, what happened?

You open your mouth, shocked and confused. Keep it cool Y/N....

~Nothing.....why...?

•Mmm...I don't know, you didn't seem as jumpy and nervous as you do when I mention him.  It's kinda like a habit...

~Well, maybe I've grown out of that habit
You say trying to act grown up like.

Your mom laughs.

•Ok, ok. Listen, I gotta finish talking with grandma. I'll see you real soon Y/N!
