Dear Diary😂,
It's been four weeks since I left Tokyo to get ready for uni. My parents wanted me to come back for a few weeks before September 20th, so I can pack. I had been in Tokyo with relatives for two years now, spending the time there was fun but also tiring, I worked at a cafe on the weekends , and had college four out of five days a week, which was comprised of mainly art and design subjects much to my parents distaste. I worked to save up money for garments and fabrics, but mainly because my relatives in Tokyo were like turtle people. Barely anything ever happened at home their, which was a good thing because I had space and quiet to study. I actually miss them now, originally my parents had kicked me out because they said I had an unruly temperament and needed to learn some manners. However, I always got on with my grandparents in Tokyo, although they didn't ever do or say much. They had been retired there for years and their social life comprised of tai chi or tea meetings with fellow retirees in the city. We had been living in a really nice tall building in the city, which felt safe and all the rooms and windows were soundproofed so I didn't have any sleepless nights there. I even made a few friends, but no one I think I'll be meeting again. Although maybe I'll text them on their birthday? Hmm yes so that was that and now I'm packing my stuff for uni. I have a small bag of my best clothes which I took from Tokyo, nothing at home fits me anymore. Or it's been washed into oblivion.
Unfortunately, sound proofing is not a thing at my own house in Britain. Though my parents house is fairly large and in the countryside (they are both work crazy lawyers- but like to live out away from the hussel and bussel of the capital whenever they can) noise is in no way escaped. They are talking right now, while I write this entry, formally addressing their clients or whoever exceptionally loudly.Intermittently stopping to ring and cuss at their assistances. The constraint between my mother especially and her parents is quite ridiculous whenever I think about it. I'm so bored and annoyed at being home ; I don't even have a job to go to to distract myself from the mundanity. So I took a walk in the beautiful countryside this morning and attempted to skip some stones at the nearby river that goes through the village. The cows looked particularly wan today so I avoided their field and skipped over to the left one, which I hoped wasn't private land.
Right now I have to make an online order for stationary- as I stupidly left all my cute stuff behind at my grandparents. They said they would send it actually, but they're quite forgetful so I will leave it be. I don't get much of an allowance here at home - my parents strongly believe in working for yourself. Though they can be generous when it suits them. Though they seem to have forgotten that I have no job here. Though I try my best to help out with the house cleaning, on the days the cleaner doesn't stop round.
Anyway, I will be off to fashion school at another county soon, so hopefully I'll be able to find one there - student finace doesn't stretch much when your family household income is fairly good.
Anyway I have to go now - my mother is shouting me to come down for dinner, they order a Chinese takeaway.
Goodnight Diary,
Lots of love,
Aurora xxxx💗
