Nini sighed as she opened one of her bachelorette presents. "Oh, wow! Personalized towels! How very... chic? Thank you, Ash." Nini said to her red headed friend.

"They best part is that you can get the embroidery removed if it doesn't work out thi-" Ashlyn stopped when Gina threw a glare her way.

"Okay!" Kourtney said. "My turn." Nini smiled and took the present from her and gasped. She pulled out a beautiful, ornate snow globe that had a picture of Ethan and her inside."

"Wow, Kourt... this is beautiful." Nini said, in awe.

"It's to commemorate yours and Ethan's first Christmas together as a married couple." Kourtney told her, holding up her champagne glass. "A toast, to Ethan and Nini. May you enjoy a lifetime of marital bliss and happiness." They all clinked their glasses.

A little while later, Nini was standing outside getting some air. She was just thinking about whether or not she'd actually be able to walk down the aisle this time. Not knowing for sure if Ethan was really 'the one'." She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't hear Kourtney come outside and stand next to her.

"Girl, you okay?" She asked.

Nini sighed and shook her head. "I just don't know, Kourt. This is the third wedding shower I've had and each time I think that I can do it, and then BAM. I bail." Nini said, sadly. "I'm just so sick of disappointing everyone."

Kourt nodded in understanding. "You're gonna do it this time, Nins." She told her. "They always say third times the charm." Then she added, "plus, if you don't, people might start thinking you're gay, too."

Nini laughed and shook her head. "Thanks, Kourt. You really know how to make a girl feel better." Then she looped her arm through Kourt's and dragged her back to the party. "Come on. We better get back inside before Gina turns this into a bad 80's dance party."

The girls looked at each other and laughed when they heard Gina play a Rick Astley song. "Too late!" They both giggled, but made their way to their group of friends, and continued having a good time.

-Line break-

It was the day of the wedding and Nini was in her dressing room with her momma C, waiting for the wedding March to begin. "Hey, mom? How did you you know that mama D was the one?" She asked, hesitantly.

Her mom stood behind her and grabbed her shoulders. "That's easy, honey. I married her." She told her daughter, softly. "If it doesn't feel right, then it's not right."

Nini smiled softly and nodded. "Thanks, Mom. I love you" she said just as the wedding March began to play. "I love you too, honey. Now, let's go get you married."

After watching her wedding party, it was finally time for her to walk down the aisle. As she made her way to the double doors, she saw Ethan standing at the alter, and suddenly it felt like she couldn't breathe. The room began spinning, and everything was just wrong. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. This is just nerves. Come on, Nini. Pull yourself together. You love him, he loves you. It's fine.

She began her walk, looking at her friends and family who had come to support her, and then looked back at Ethan to see him fist-bump his best man, Aiden, and that's when she knew. He wasn't it. She looked to the small door to the left of the alter. When she got to the end, she booked it out the door. She heard gasps and chattering behind her but she didn't care. She had one thought on her mind. Run.

I hate every bit of this chapter. I've had it planned out but for some reason, it's not sitting right with me. Maybe it's the writing style? Or maybe it'll get better when we run into Ricky. Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️
