Home.
___________
Fred landed the car but further than I would have liked since I had all of my stuff I had to carry.
"Why are you putting the car here?" I asked them.
Fred and George looked at each other. It was dark but I could see George frown.
"Well, we didn't tell mum we left to get you..." George started.
"So we were planing on sneaking you in and we couldn't land so close to the burrow or they would hear us." Fred finished.
"You're kidding, right?" I asked.
"No, now come on. Best do this quickly." Fred said getting out of the car.
"Don't worry. It's not like we haven't done anything worse than this. Besides, I'm sure you'll be able to come up with a little lie to get us out of it." George told me with a smirk then got out of the car.
It was true. I was the best at lying in my entire family. I'm of course including the Weasleys at that. I got out of the car with my owl and Fred opened the trunk. I pulled out my luggage and my school stuff but I couldn't get my broom.
"Want some help?" George asked grabbing my broom.
"Thanks." I said giving him a great full smile.
"Of course, now come on darling. We've got a house to sneak into."
We walked up to the front door of the burrow and opened it as gently as we could. When we walked in, my face went pale. Mr and Mrs Weasley had been waiting for us. Ron and Ginny, as well, were siting at the table behind them.
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Mrs Weasley shouted.
"We were um... well." Fred struggled
Time for me to come to the rescue. Like always. These boys really are idiots. They didn't even make up a story, unlike me who had when we were walking up.
"They both saved me from my home. You see, Cedric and I aren't getting along very good and well, he hit me. If Fred and George hadn't of come when they did, I'd probably be in my room crying from the pain I had kept inside." I told them.
Mr and Mrs Weasley looked shocked. Mrs Weasley rapped her arms around me and said "Why didn't you tell us sooner? We could have helped. Oh, ignore me dear. It wasn't your fault. Here, sit down and I'll make us some tea."
I sat down at the table next to Ginny with Fred and George following.
"How did you think of that so fast?" Fred asked me in a whisper.
"Because I'm a good lair unlike you two. 'We were ... um'." I said mimicking Fred.
"Wait, that was a lie. You lied to Mum?" Ginny asked.
"Not really. Just a little. Yeah." I admit. "It was a pretty good one, right?"
"It was brilliant." Ron told me.
I shrugged. Mrs Weasley brought over some cinnamon apple flavored tea for all of us. I grabbed the smaller cup. To be honest, I wasn't very thirsty but I didn't want to be rude.
"Thank you, Mrs Weasley." I said to her with a smile.
"You're welcome dear. And remember what I told you. You can call me Molly."
"Right, sorry. Thank you Molly." I repeated. "More like mum." I said under my breath.
The twins snickered. I took a sip of my tea while watching George. Something felt different since the last time I saw him.
"What?" George asked me as he saw me staring. "Do I have something on my face?"
He did seem to have something on his face. Foam? Maybe Molly put something in his tea to make it foamy.
"You do actually. Right there." I said pointing above my lip.
He tried to wipe it off but had no luck.
"Here, let me help." I said grabbing a napkin.
I tried to wipe it off until I realized what it really was.
"George Fabien Weasley has his first facial hair. Are you finally becoming a man?" I asked jokingly.
His face turned bright red. Fred turned his head and looked a little angry.
"That's not fare. Do have one y/n/n?" Fred asked as he got up from the other side of the table and walked over to me.
I looked and found quite a few baby hairs.
"Wow. You might wanna shave, Freddie. You two are becoming quite the men." I said
Ginny laughed softly.
Fred and George both high fived makining me laugh.
"I'm sure Angelina is going to love it." I said smirking at Fred.
He tried to hide it but we could all see him turn pink. We knew he fancied her so me and George would always tease him.
"You still haven't told us who you fancy, Georgie. Care to share?" I ask
"It's a secret. You never told us who you fancy either. Care to share?" He replied.
"Only if you tell me first."
"I will if you tell me first."
We stared each other down trying to get the other to cave until Ron interrupted.
"I'm going to bed."
"Me too." Ginny told us.
Me and George didn't look away from each other.
I'm not going to loose to this weasel.
"I'm going up, too." Fred said as he walked up the stairs.
"Are you getting tired?" George asked.
"I could do this all night. I hope I don't have to remind you that I have never lost a staring contest and just slept for 24 hours straight."
"Oh yes but I hope that I don't have to remind you that you never said cheating wasn't aloud."
He told me.
George quickly clapped his hands in front of my face causing me to blink.
"Not fair." I said laughing
"Life's not fair."
I got up from the table and put my cup in the sink. Everyone had gone to bed so it was just me and George. The fire in the fireplace was still going so I walked over to the couch and sat down by the fire. I looked back at George and motioned him to come sit with me. He got up from the table and walked over to me. He sat down and I layed my head on his shoulder. He rapped an arm around me and pulled me close. I took a deep breath of his cinnamon and firework powder cent. He was so warm. I could hear his breathing slow down which told me he had fallen asleep. Before I closed my eyes, I whisper "Goodnight, Georgie." and soon fell into a deep sleep.
