Sunset Musings

Your voice carried through the house, as you sang a song that you hadn't for a while. You had been on the surface for about 5 years now. Everyone was happy.

Mettaton had gone on world tours with Napstablook, Alphys was helping Toriel with the school, Asgore was content with his gardening, Undyne was now part of the police force, Sans was... still lazy as ever... Papyrus was enjoying new recipes, and Asriel was living happily with Toriel, Asgore and you.

Speaking of the former prince, he walked downstairs, yawning quietly. His fur was a bit of a mess, his tiny horns invisible under the fur, and... well, he just looked adorable.

You smiled, "Morning Azzy."

"Hey, (Y/n)... What... are you doing up this early...?"

"Well, Toriel asked me to help her out later today. And Asgore needed me to give a speech to the monsters and humans of the council..."

"Jeez, you've got a full plate today, huh?" Asriel smirked, sitting beside you on the couch.

"Tell me about it, hehe!" You laughed.

A small pink colour rose to Asriel's cheeks. He smiled at you.

"So, pancakes for breakfast?" He smirked, seeing you glare at him.

"No. Last time you tried to cook them, you nearly burnt the house down."

"Oh come on! I'll be fine!"

"No!"

10 minutes later:

You coughed a few times, smoke exiting through the window you just opened. You saw Asriel turn off the smoke alarm, and you glared at him.

"Uh... hehe... oops...?"

"That's all you have to say, Asriel? I warned you! Now, you pay the price!"

You tackled him to the ground, tickling him.

"AH!! Hahahahahahaha! (Y/n), stahahahahahahahap! Hahahahaha!"

"Never!" You began to tickle his horns, and you knew what reaction that would get.

"EEEK!! HAHAHAHA!! SERIOUSLY STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP!!"

"Alright, alright." You stopped, letting him catch his breath.

"... You little sneak..."

"Yep!" You smirked.

He stuck his tongue out at you, and you mirrored it. Both of you then laughed together as you stood up to get on with the day.

Timeskip:

Well, you were stumped. You were at the council meeting, and had zoned out. You had no idea what had been said.

Not wanting to embarrass yourself, you politely asked if the person could repeat the question.

"Oh, haha! No worries, dear. I was asking if the monsters had any intent of harming us."

"No, sir, they don't." You explained. "Well... only if you hurt us will we retaliate..."

"You are a human, aren't you?"

"I feel more connected to the monsters. I was constantly bullied up here, but... the monsters didn't pick on me... for the most part......"
