Mario X Meggy - Don't Leave Me

Chapter 3 The Rescue

Hours have past and Mario was still unconscious laying in a pile of garbage bags it was probably around 6:00 PM when he finally woke up.

"Ooooooh my head" the plumber groaned as he shifted his position. "What even a happened" He thought to himself. But then he remembered everything. Him and Meggy training a few hours ago, the whole incident with Bowser and SMG3 and Meggy....

"OMG MEGGY!!" After those words appeared in his head, a rush of adrenaline shot through him as he tried to get up but immediately failed due to his entire body being sore from falling from so high. "Ow Mama******". Mario yelled to himself completely oblivious to what was around him but he didn't care, he needed to get go Meggy and he needed to do it now. Ignoring the pain Mario picked him self back up again pain shooting through his body as he limped over towards the drain that led back to the castle basement.

After Mario threw him self down the drain (literally) he was back in the basement of the castle but something was odd, something was missing. He couldn't explain it but he just knew it's been years since he felt this and he didn't like it but also this basically told Mario where to go. Mario without hesitation, walked all the way up from the basement, to the main castle room, he walked all the way up to the room where the magic clock was(AKA Tik Tok Clock)
and jumped up the giant stairs that Peach for some reason had to have and he finally approached the final door where the infamous infinite staircase was but at least this time Bowser didn't seal it with 70 stars so Mario was able to walk right through and drag him self all the way up the stairs.

When he reached the top at the warp zone that lead to Bowsers secret sky he stopped to catch his breath and take a quick little break, he just walked up 6 flights of stairs his whole body was sore but he had to go in he couldn't leave Meggy trapped in there he knew she was in there and at the top where Bowser and Mario fought Years ago.

"It's been a years since I have a been here" Mario thought to him self. After Mario gathered him self he whispered to him self
"I'm coming for you Meggy". The Red Capped Plumber shut his eyes and jumped into the warp zone, when he opened his eyes he was in Bowsers Secret Sky. It was exactly the same as it was when he adventured through this place to gain back the power stars years ago. "Just how I a remember it" Mario thought to him self once more as he started heading up to that shiny green pipe he did years ago.

Meanwhile Meggy has stopped crying but she was still shaking and still worried. It's been hours since she's been there, Bowser was doing his own thing and Meggy was shaking hugging her self backed up agents the cage she was thrown in. I mean to be fair it was actually kind of a big cage she could walk and move around but it was only 7 by 7 feet and 10 feet tall so at least there's that much. Meggy started to think to herself. "What if Mario's not coming? Is anyone coming for me? Does anyone know where I am? Is Mario...... gone?".

Meggy started to tear up again but she tried to stay strong, even though she was shaking, alone and scared. If only she could get her splatter shot she could get her self out of here but it was still in Koopas clown car. Her eyes where still blood shot red and purple from being so stressed and crying, and Meggy has hardly ever cried, ever. She really only cried around Mario when something was wrong like when she was worried about not being good enough for a splatfest or about Desti. She started to think about Mario and everything they've done again but this also made her more worried. What If Mario wasn't ok? What If he's not coming?" Meggy thought to her self again. She then wiped the tears from her eyes and whispered "Red please be okay".

After charging through the winds on the
four-pillared platform Mario jumped up to the last platform and there he was. He was only a few feet away from that pipe that looked so innocent yet he could imagine what he's about to get himself into. He reached into his pocket in his overalls and grabbed a Fire Flower.
"It'sa now or never!" Mario shouted to him self, Fire Flower in hand Mario took one last deep breath and Jumped right into the warp pipe.
