Grace placed a record and the record player she then started playing it. Grace walked to the entrance of the dining room and ranged a bell. Eight children came running down stairs in a line. They all walked to their assigned seats and stood behind the chairs.

Luther was next to Zero and across from Allison. Zero was in between Diego and Luther she sat across from Klaus. Diego sat next to Vanya and across from ben. Ben sat next to Klaus and Vanya. Klaus sat next to Allison. Allison sat next to Five. Vanya sat at the very end of the table.

Reginald walked in the dining room. He sat across from Vanya and closes to Five and Luther. "Sit." Reginald said then all the children sat.

Luther and Allison were making googly eyes at each while eating. Zero and Diego held hands under the table while eating. Klaus rolling a blunt under the table. Ben was reading a book. Vanya was just eating minding her business. Five kept glaring at Reginald while eating.

Five stabbed his knife into the table making everyone look at him. "Number Five?" Reginald asked. "I have a question." Five said to Reginald. "Knowledge is an goal, but you know the rules. No talking during mealtimes. You are interrupting Herr Carlson." Reginald said waving his knife around.

"I want to time travel." Five said throwing his knife down on the table. "No." Reginald answered getting very annoyed. "But I'm ready. I've been practicing my spatial jumps, just like you said." Five said then he space jumped to Reginald side. "See?" Five asked annoyingly.

"A spatial jump is trivial when compared with the unknowns of time travel. One is like sliding along the ice, the other is akin to descending blindly into the depths of the freezing water and reappearing as an acorn." Reginald said before taking a sip of his drink.

Zero just watched not eating her food. Diego looked a her and squeezed her hand making her look at him. He took his fork with food and ate to he was trying to tell her to eat. She just looked back at Five and Reginald.

"Well, I don't get it." Five said. "Hence the reason you're not ready." Reginald said putting his glass down on the table. Five looked at Vanya and she shock her head. Five looked at Zero and she looked confusedly at him.

"I'm not afraid." Five said ignoring Vanya shaking her head. "Fear isn't the issue. The effects it might have on your body, even on your mind, are far too unpredictable. Now, I forbid you to talk about this anymore." Reginald said looking at Five.

Five then ran out. Zero stood up letting go of Diego's hand "Five?!" Zero said looking at the hallway he went through. "Number Zero, hush." Reginald said making Zero glare at him. "Sit now, Number Zero." Reginald said cutting his food.

Zero stood there "I'm not your dog, Reginald!" Zero said then stormed off to her room slamming her door after her. They all sat looking at the hall.

Five ran outside and threw the gates to the house. Five then ran down the street. Five and traveled to the summer time of that year. "Not ready, my ass." Five said as he ran threw the sidewalk. Five ran and traveled to winter time of that year.

Five traveled one but when he looked around everything was destroyed. Five ran back to his house but it was gone. He looked around at his surroundings.

"Vanya?!" Five yelled looking for his sister but no one answered. "Ben?!" Five yelled looking into the destroyed house but no one answered. "Dad?!" He yelled but no one answered. "Anyone?!" He yelled but no one answered. "Zero?!" He asked but more quickly and sadder.

Five tried to use his abilities to go back but it didn't work. "Come on!" He yelled trying to make his powers work. "Shit." He said to himself. Five gave up on using his powers. He looked around when he turned to his house he fell to his knees and stared at the house.
