"Hey, we gotta go" Jeremy said to Levi. "I know" Levi said back. It was his first day outside of the walls. He got onto his horse and he could still feel the happiness in the worried nurse at the same time. Levi was part of the scouts regiment, a force that Would leave the walls and Scout ahead. The scouts were an odd regiment, many people joined to see outside of the walls and experienced a new life. For the older people in the regiment every time you would go out of the walls they would see things and some of those things would be bad.
When Levi is on his horse he would need to set his ODM gear. The beasts that were outside of the walls were the titans. These Titans would be tall. Titans were somewhat immortal, the only way to kill a titan is to slice the back of the neck. That would be called the nape. These Titans were kind of like humans but the only thing that made them different was that they eat humans. Levi ODM gear would help him kill the Titans. The Titans were made thousands of years ago, nobody knew how they reproduced or what they did. The titans would not hurt the wildlife there. These walls would be the only thing protecting the humans against the Titans.
The ODM gear was an odd set of equipment. It had too long metal bars on each side of it. The person would wear it on their hips. Inside those large metal Bars were sword pieces. with the gear it would have a sword. The sword was made out of special equipment. Every time that a sword gets dull. They would take off the metal part of the sword and put a new one on it from the metal bars. The other object that was very useful to people using the ODM gear was the grappling hooks on them. There would be two swords. Each sword would go into the person's hands. and on the swords where triggers are. There were two Triggers on each sword, one would shoot the grappling line and the other to pull the grappling line towards them. So the person who was using the ODM gear could swing. People try to use cannons to kill the Titans, but the Cannons did nothing to the Titans but just heard them and did not kill them. So ODM gear was the only way to kill a Titan.
As Levi got on his horse the front gate began to open. The gate was the only entrance to the outside world. As the gate opened the line of horses began to move and ride out into the grasslands ahead of them. Those horses were modified so they could reach up to 90 km. they were the only thing that could outrun a Titan. But Titan could run up to 40 km. every time the regiment would leave the gates they would get into a special formation to tell when a Titan is near. The equipment would be in the middle of the formation. The formation was very wide and very long. Levi was on the right side of the formation. Then he saw a Titan.
