Kyoka's POV
Class is so boring. I wish I could listen to music instead, but Aizawa-sensei won't let me. He said that if I do listen to music, I won't focus on his lessons, but I totally could! Crap, what did he say about a test?
"Class dismissed. Remember, the test is on Wednesday," Aizawa-sensei blankly stated.
Alright, looks like I won't need to ask. I sling my backpack over one shoulder and walk over to the door. I hear Kirishima lightly picking on Denki.
"Dude, why do you like Shinso? He's way too scary-looking, man!" Kirishima teased.
"Okay, one, he's not scary-looking, and two... uh... we hung out a few d-days ago at the p-park and he's really f-funny and relaxed when he o-opens up to you," Denki shyly stammers.
"Did you guys kiss or something? Why are you so nervous to say you went to the park?" I retort.
Denki's face turns to a very, very deep crimson color. He opens and closes his mouth, trying to talk, but just looking like a fish. I say that to Kirishima and he falls to the floor laughing. I look at Denki with a smug grin, trying hard not to make fun of him any more, and decide to walk away. I'm still giggling, but wave to the short-circuited tomato sitting next to Kirishima, who's still rolling on the floor. I grin to myself and step into the hallway, heading towards the lunch room. I hear a low-pitched laugh and then feel something fall onto me from behind. It feels like another person just fell onto me.
"Ow!" I cry, landing right on my earphone jack.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to fall on you or hurt you! Here, let me help you up," The person says, standing up and offering a hand to me.
It's Momo. She looks so pretty standing there, and her being so selfless as to not care about if she was hurt, but to care for me as the number one priority is one of the hundreds of reasons I love her.
"It's fine. My ear hurts, but I should be able to just get something cold at lunch to ice it with," I say in return, taking her hand.
"Well, I could make you an ice pack if you want?" She generously offered.
"N-no, it's fine. I don't want to burden you, Yaomomo," I state, rejecting her kindness towards me.
"Really, it is not a burden. I can just make one quickly for you. It's only fair since I'm the one who tripped and injured you," Momo says, clearly wanting to help me.
"Well, if you say so!" I say gratefully.
We both get a little red, but then Momo hands me the ice pack. I wrap it around my jack and thank Yaomomo for making it. Suddenly, she looks over my shoulder, realizing someone else is there, and gets a rather dreamy look in her eyes. She gets a little more red than before, and I see Todoroki walk past me. He tries to secretly hold Momo's hand, but it's extremely obvious. The three of us walk to the lunch room and get our food. Momo and I got katsudon, and Todoroki got soba. We walked to a table and sat down.
Jokingly, I asked Momo if she and Todoroki were a thing, and to my surprise, they said no. Right after though, I saw Todoroki's arm move a little, and saw Momo's arm move as well, like they went to hold hands. What does Momo see in Todoroki, but not in me? What is this feeling? Betrayal? Hate? Jealousy?
I giggled to hide my true feelings, but couldn't shake the feeling that Momo was straight. That I would never have a chance to be with her. It just wouldn't work out.
