The Alvarez Empire was founded by Zeref an an unspecified time before X781 and 730 guilds of Alakitasia subjugated by martial force whom crowned himself Emperor by the name of Spriggan.
Spriggan was the name that Zeref went by in this continent, Alakitasia. After Zera had traveled around with Zeref for quite a while, the two grew closer to one another.

"I've created beasts by the name of Etherious."
"Etherious?"
"Yes, Etherious. They're the true forms of the beasts I made. I hope that someday their inhuman strength can end my suffering."
"Can it also end my suffering?" Zera's eyes remained dulled, it had been quite a while, 50 years to be exact since they first encountered each other.
After they encountered, they spent some time together then parted ways after a couple years. Then encountered each other again but this time the two stayed together as they reaked havoc and destruction every where they went.
Zera wasn't really one for violence, unless necessary but her curse said otherwise. Her curse had a desire for violence and at times it wanted peace.
"Your curse works very differently than mine..." He blantly spoke, Zera shrugged at the already known information sighing in disappointment.
"It's quite strange. . . How are you able to alter your appearance?" Zeref looked at the now 19 year-old looking Zera, she had yet again changed her appearance. The last time the two met she had the appearance of a 25 year old.
"Magic!" She rolled her eyes sarcastically earning a glare. One could say, she rolled them so far her brain started working. "But it's no use! Every time I die, yes in air quotes; I get amnesia. Defeats the whole purpose of going out with a bang, I really hate coming back to life not remembering anything, it's like being reborn as a new born baby. Innocent and Naive. "
"How fortunate. At least you can forget the misery lived along the years, whereas I can not."
Zera sighed as she continued to stretch her limbs, it was a common occurrence for her to stretch every bone and fiber of her body, her elasticity remained as is after her regenerations. The two continued to converse, he mainly rambled about spending some time on the Western Continent and how if the Etherious beast plan were to go side ways, his new plan would set in motion. Being skeptical of his plans she wasn't sure if it was necessary, all his plans remained unchanged, he had failed many times she actually had little faith in him.
