Chapter 2 - Investigating with Detective Leaf

Crew were all designated with separate tasks for each day on the Skeld. Variations of jobs ranging from connecting up wires in panels across the ship, to downloading data from the auxiliary systems, or maintaining the reactors. While each job was important, there was an additional job that was equally important that needed to be done.

Chief of Security for the Skeld spaceship was none other than the Brown suit clad female of the crew. Adorned with a brilliant bright red tie and a green plant growing out of the top of her metallic helm. Detective Lead was always on the case and would be ready for anything.

After doing a preliminary job of emptying out the trash chutes in the storage bay, she smiled inside her helmet as the trash was shot into the vacuum of space, being swept away by the speed of the ship itself. While turning around, Leaf saw a fellow crewmate walking through storage. Purple gave a small wave, as the lovely crewmate passed through the room, heading for electrical, as Leaf gave a happy wave back to her fellow friend.

As her job was said and done, Leaf had her next job to go and see the issue with the security station of the ship. To which her walk lead her down the hallway past electrical, moving down the metallic corridors towards the engines and reactor.

Moving along past the engines of the ship were an always welcoming white noise for the crew. The hum of the engines were a constant reminder that they were running smoothly and propelling them even further into the darkness of space on their exploratory mission.

Finally, as Leaf passed through the engines and near the reactor, she saw the entrance to the Security room. A relatively simple room to keep track of the ship, through a series of security cams, she could keep an eye on the other crewmates. Grabbing the back of the swivel chair, Detective Leaf took a seat at the console, turning on the array of Cameras on the screens, as four seperate security feeds turned on.

Immediatly, a number of the crew could be seen on the cameras. Red and Blue were talking just outside of navigation, maybe chatting up a storm about who Purple would actually go out with if they asked. It was a general topic of conversation if any that always appeared at the cafeteriatable when Purple wasn't around to head. Leaf shook her head in response, to see movement on another camera.

Black was walking down the hallway, just past the security office, heading towards the lower engines and out to Electrical as well. Smiling a bit, Leaf turned and leapt from her seat running out to the hall some. "Hey Black!" She called out in a cheerful tone, to which the taller crewmate stopped and looked down at the brown clad astronaut.

"Hi Brown." He spoke in his deep baritone voice once again.

"Where are you heading off to now?"

"Just going to check electrical."

"Well perfect, would you mind checking in on Purple while in there. I know she always hates going into Electrical alone." Leaf said while swaying back and forth on the heels of her feet.

As the words came out of Leaf's helmet, Black nodded, an aura of intrigue emanating from him as he said. "I'll take care of Purple."

The taller astronaut turned away, as a small frown came up under Leaf's helmet, before he turned and approached Brown again. Leaning down, his hands grabbed her slender shoulders, as their helmets tapped together with a low clunk and he said. "...Mwah... Forehead Kiss." Before setting her down and starting to leave again.

Leaf waved with a smile now bright under her helmet, as she watched Black depart, before slinking back into security. Leaping into the swivel chair again, Leaf turned her attention back to the arrangement of Cameras, humming a low tune to herself.
