"What?" The Supreme asked. "The king is the one who was behind the massacres of all of those villages years ago, including mine and he was going to do it all over again if I didn't go looking for revenge," Elizabeth explained, the Supreme pacing around her office. "We believe-" Elizabeth started to carry on but she was cut off. "We?" "The queen, Luca and myself... We heard from sources that the king has plans to expand his kingdom by taking over the faerie and elf territories. This means more innocent lives are going to be taken." She finished. "And what do you want us to do?" Elizabeth sighed. "Fight." She paused. "When the time comes. The king needs to be stopped." Christopher and Alfie sat to the left-hand side of the room listening to the conversation. "Let me think about it." Elizabeth nodded and exited the room with the two boys in tow. She stopped when she was sure she was alone. "Elizabeth. I'm sorry. Both of you I truly am." Elizabeth gave him a small smile and turned to Alife who looked confused. "How can you be so sure that they didn't know anything? How can he just kill his people? The same people he was meant to protect." He asked. "The queen gave me to mother and father to protect me from him. I don't know but I can feel it. And as for the king, I don't know but he needs to be stopped before more innocent blood is spilt."
Luca waited in his father's office, nervously bouncing his leg up and down, fiddling with his fingers. He tried to calm his breathing as he heard voices outside the door before the turning of the lock. Luca stood up and tried to make sure that his nerves weren't showing as his father walked in. Gabriel jumped in surprise. "Luca, what the hell are you doing here?" "I wanted to talk to you." Gabriel looked at him to tell him to continue. "I was wondering if I could sit in on your meeting." Gabriel looked at him confused. "Why?" "I just thought as your heir I should start getting involved in court affairs so when the time comes I know what is going on." Gabriel was taken aback, Luca never paid interest in the proceedings of the court before but he was glad that he was finally starting to. "Alright give me a minute." Luca nodded, Gabriel, placed the documents he held down on his desk and walked out. Luca slowly but casually started to walk around the room and glanced at the papers on the desk and saw that these are the ones they need but his head quickly snapped up and he moved to the side so he wasn't caught looking at these documents, as his father walked in. "Alright, come on." Luca then followed his father out the door.
Elizabeth ducked and met Christopher's advances as they fought. She needed to get her mind off everything that was happening. Christopher swung his fist at her but she crouched down missing it and swung her leg out at his and knocked his leg out from under him, making him land on his back. She jumped to her feet laughing. "Come on. You're making this easy." He chuckled and sat up. "Yeah. yeah. Round 2?" Elizabeth nodded as she helped them up. They were about to start sparring again when a guard approached them. "The Supreme needs to speak with you. Now." The Guard spoke but didn't give them time to reply as he started to walk away. Elizabeth and Christopher looked at each other before running to catch up with the guard. They walked quickly to keep up with him until they reached the office. The guard opened the door and held it open for them. Once they were in the guard slammed the door. There was silence until Elizabeth was the first one to speak up. "You wanted to speak to us, Ma'am." The Supreme looked up from what she was doing. "Yes. I have an answer for you." Elizabeth gulped. "You do?" "Yes. I've been talking to the captains and we agreed that we can't stand by and do nothing and watch as innocent lives get lost. So we will help. You just tell us when and where and we'll be there." Elizabeth nodded. "Of course. I have to let Mary and Luca know." Elizabeth walked out of the office and back to her room. Once in her room, she sat at her desk and started to draft the letter.
Aurora hung out in the hall but the king's office until she spotted Luca and the king heading her way. Luca gave her a slight nodded as he passed, signalling to her that now was the time to sneak into the room. So she rushed to the door, glancing around her to make sure no one noticed her. Once she saw no one she quickly and quietly slid into the room. Aurora hoped that Luca can keep him long enough so that she wouldn't get caught. She rushed over to the desk, pulled a piece of paper out of her sleeve picking up the documents individually scanning over the information, jotting down the important details about the attacks. Once she got the information she needed, she placed the papers back where she found them and headed out of the room. Aurora had just stepped one foot out the door and spotted the king heading towards her, Luca noticed her and jumped in front of his father shielding her from the king's line of sight. "Luca what are you doing?" He asked. "I just wanted to thank you." "Thank me for what?" "For letting me join in on the meeting even if it wasn't for long." He rambled. Whilst Luca distracted his father, Aurora quietly closed the door and rushed to the other side of the hall trying not to act suspiciously. She wiped her hands on her gown and walked up to the pair. She placed her hand on Luca's back before bowing. "Your majesty. Do you mind if I steal Luca away from you?" Gabriel shook his head. "No, absolutely not." She gave him a smile before linking her arm with Luca and pulling him away. When they were out of hearing distance from his father he leaned into her ear and whispered, "Did you get it?" Aurora gazed around and slightly pulled out the piece of paper. Luca chuckled and the couple carried on walking.
Luca and Aurora reached his room and saw his mother standing outside his door. "Mother. What is it?" "I just received a letter from Elizabeth." He nodded, opening the door, holding it open for his mother and Aurora to walk in. Luca shut it carefully, making sure that no one was listening in. He quickly made his way over to them. "What does it say?" Mary opened the letter scanning over the words on the page. "They're in. They are waiting for us." He nodded before turning to Aurora. "Do you have the information?" Aurora slipped the piece of paper out of her sleeve and handed it to him. He slightly smiled to himself before embracing her into a hug. "You are amazing." She shrugged her shoulders playfully. "I know." She laughed. "Alright. I need you both to stay here and make sure that my father doesn't catch on to anything while I get this to Elizabeth." The two women nodded in agreement and watched as Luca grabbed his cloak and marched out of the room headed for the stables. Once he got to his horse and saddled up, he climbed on and rode off into the sunsets, hoping that no one spotted him.
Luca didn't stop until he reached the place that Elizabeth described. He was stopped at the gates by the guards. "I am here to speak to Elizabeth. She is expecting me." He told the guards. They looked at each other and one walked inside. They wait outside the gates for a few minutes until that same guard walked back out followed by Elizabeth. She looked at him and smiled before turning to the guards. "Let him in." The guards nodded and moved to the side making way for Luca to enter. He climbed off his horse and followed Elizabeth inside. "So you got my letter?" She asked as she carried on walking leading him down the dimly lit halls. "I did and I have the information you need to persuade Diana and Mason of the attacks." He pulled the small piece of paper out of his pocket and gave it to her. Elizabeth read the paper and smiled. "This is great. How did you get this without him noticing?" She was curious. "Aurora. She got the information whilst I was in a meeting with our father." There was a smirk on Elizabeth's face. "Does she know about our plans?" Luca nodded. "Yes she does and she is willing to help wherever she can." "Good. It's good that you know that you have someone you can trust." They stopped outside the oak doors at the end of the hall. Luca stared at them. "What are we doing here?" They now stood face to face. "There is someone who wants to meet you." She said pushing open the doors and letting him walk in first. As he walked in, he was met with an elegant woman, whom he never met before. "Supreme, this is my brother Prince Luca. Luca, this is the leader of the Masters, the Supreme." Luca bowed. "It's nice to meet you, ma'am." The Supreme gave him a slight nod in response before walking out from behind the desk. "It is nice to meet you too, young prince. It's a shame it had to be under these circumstances." "I'm just glad we can work together." "Same here. I'm sorry that you had to find this out about your father." "Thank you, miss. I know he is my father but I can't stand by and do nothing as he kills more and more innocent people just because he can." Elizabeth stood back watching this interaction. The Supreme sighed. "I met him once. He wanted my people to help with a mission, but I refused and he wasn't very happy. He nearly let his temper get the better of him. I was surprised that he didn't hurt any of my people."
Elizabeth walked Luca out. "Are you sure you can't come with me to talk to Diana?" She asked. "I wish I could but I have to get back before father figures out what we are up to and I can't let mother and Aurora face him if he does." Elizabeth nodded. "Alright. I will let you know when everything is in place." Luca nodded and rode off back to the castle. Elizabeth sighed looking up at the stars, praying that everything will go to plan.
