"Do you think she'll wake up anytime soon?" As soon as I gain back my conciseness, I hear a foreign female voice with an accent.
My head hurts badly. My knee and chin feel numb and I can taste blood in my mouth. Slowly, I start feeling pain all over my body. I keep my eyes close as it hurts to even try opening them.
"I don't know. I wonder who she is to Mr. Vigorito. He has never brought a girl here before." Another female says though she doesn't have an accent.
Mr. Vi- what? I thought. Where am I? I wonder.
I start to panic as I think about the foreign surrounding. I force myself to open my eyes but, immediately close them back as the intense light hits my eyes, causing me to groan.
"Sia, dim the light. She's waking up, I think." I hear.
After a few seconds, I could feel the intensity of light been decreased, motivating me to reopen my eyes. Slowly and steadily I open them, just to come in contact with a plain white ceiling. I close my eyes tightly and groan inaudibly, as the intense headache hit me. I move my hand up to my head and clutch my hair in a fist.
"Here, take this. You'll feel better." I hear yet again the same female voice, I twirl my head to see the source of the voice.
A middle-aged woman with a young female is standing right by my side. The middle-aged woman has a glass of orange juice in one hand and two pills in another. My gaze fixes on the glass of juice, as I feel extremely thirsty and the feeling of thorns in my throat isn't doing any better.
The woman must have noticed my gaze on juice, "Oh! You must be thirsty, aren't you?" She questions causing me to nod my head furiously.
"I'm so sorry, dear." She says in an apologetic tone and turns towards the young female standing beside her, "Sia, go and fetch a jug of water and the soup I've made for Mr. Vigorito in a bowl." She instructs the young lady. The girl only nods her head before walking out of the room.
"Here, let me help you." She says before placing the glass of juice and pills on the side table's chest. I frown in confusion, but soon it all got clear when she helped me sit up. I flinch as I move my leg, the pain shot through my body, but somehow I sit up.
"Here, take a few sips first." The lady instructs whilst handing me the glass of juice. With shaky hands, I take it from her and greedily gulp half of the juice from the glass. I sigh in relief when the liquid washes away the discomfort from my throat. After a pause of a few seconds she hands over two pills, I slowly place them in my mouth and swallow them in with the remaining juice.
"Good, now take some rest. You need it." She speaks softly while pushing a strand of my brown hair behind my ear.
"Where am I?" I blurt out. My voice sounds hoarse and deep. I clear my throat and cough a few times before continuing, "Who are you? And what am I doing here? How did I end up here?" I shower her with my questions. I am freaking out, I have no idea how I ended up here. All I remember is that I fell and got hurt before someone put me in a car, and that's it. I must have lost the conciseness after that.
"Easy, dear. There is nothing to worry about." She traces her hand on my back to calm me down before continuing, "I'm Adeline and I'm a help here. Mr. Vigorito brought you here, you were passed out then. You had a few minor injuries, but nothing to worry about. You are all right, you just need to rest for a while." Adeline assures.
I frown, "Who is Mr. Virgo?" I ask.
She chuckles, "It is Vigorito. He saved you and brought you here safely, he's staying here temporarily. He lives in New York. This is his penthouse." She gestures around the huge room we are in.
