Once upon a time. That phrase is used quite a lot. Predicting a fairytale ending. However, life is not as happily ever after as the books make it seem. Or in my case, shall I say how the government makes it seem. The world of diversity is far gone. Only equality. Although in this place equality is not as perfect as it seems. We all are lost stars trying to find our purpose. But we never can, because we are gathered with the same stars each and every day. Sometimes lost stars can only be found when they are reunited with a star far different then it.
I kept hearing the same words in my head. 'Lost stars'. A song which makes me feel complete. Like I am united to the singer. While listening to music with my airpods in I feel a paper-like material slap me across the back of my head. "Ouch, what the fu-"
"No swearing!" Feeling another thing hit me on the back of my head, I turn in annoyance. "Can you stop it!"
It was my mom.
She glared at me with stern eyes, "Song Soomin stop listening to music so loud your going to burst your eardrums!"
"But mom I was listening to such a good song" I whined not without ... She then snatched my airpods out of my ears.
"Hey!"
"Enough with the mouth, dinners ready." I rolled my eyes. Why does she always have to come bother me when I'm enjoying my alone time? "Oh and honey your brother and sister are coming for dinner tonight so it is expected you come join us."
"Unnie and oppa!?" My eyes gleamed with excitement. It has been weeks since I last saw them. From my knowledge my brother, Seojun was traveling the world. He works for a big company so it was his job to make agreements with other officials around the world. As for my sister, Jin-Ae I heard she was pregnant about 5 months ago. She must be really showing now. She is one of the top business women in all of South Korea. I am so proud of her.
Wait, if Jin-Ae is coming that means her husband is too...Dongin...Park Dongin. Don't get me wrong he's a nice guy, but he is sort of boring.
"Ugh, that means Dongin is coming." My mom grumbled "Dongin is an amazing son-in-law, even better than my own son"
"Seojun is going to be so happy hearing that mother" Sarcasm heard within my voice. "Quiet! Also you might want to change out of your sweatpants and hoodie."
