Chapter 4

                                                                Chapter 4:

         Julie ran out into the hallway, the tears stinging in her eyes, a lump forming in her throat. Alex quickly followed her, and when he saw her crying, he rushed to embrace her. They stayed like that for a moment, until Sarah, another one of Julie’s friends, came out to see if her dress was okay.

                “You are going to have to change into something else,” Sarah said, nervously wringing her hands, “Do you have another dress to wear?”

                “Um,” she said, “Not really, this was the only one I brought!”

                “I can fix that,” Elizabeth said, bringing a pale pink-ish white-ish dress towards them, “I brought two dresses because I couldn’t decide which one to wear.”

                “Thanks!” Julie said, excitedly, “I’m going to go put it on. Wait here!”                                                     

                When Julie came out of the bathroom, she did a quick 360 degree turn, making the dress twirl around her body.

                “Wow,” Alex said under his breath, “She looks beautiful.”

                “Everyone heard that!” Taryn stated, “Next time I would say that quieter.

                Alex put his head down, because his face was a bright, fire truck red. Julie did something no one thought she would ever do. She walked over to Alex, put her arms up around his neck and kissed him. After she was finished, all Alex could do was to stand there with his mouth open in utter surprise. Julie put her mouth next to Alex’s ear, saying something that only they would know.

                The rest of the night went by pretty quick. Marise and William avoided the whole group. Meanwhile, Julie, Alex, and their friends danced until they had to leave. Alex gave Julie his number, and they hugged goodbye, going to their parents.

                When Julie got home, she ran up to her room, grabbed her phone, and programmed his number into her phone.

                Julie: Hey :)

                Alex: Hi :P

                Julie: Haha what was that for?

                Alex: Idk haha

                Julie: soooo..

                Alex: yeah. Haha

                They continued to talk until Julie had to go to bed.

                Julie: I have to go to bed. Good night.

                Alex: Good night. Sleep tight.

                Julie: I’ll try. Sweet dreams.

                Alex: I love you…

                Julie: …. I love you too!

                Alex: :)

                Julie: :)

                Alex: Good night
