CHAPTER 3
When William got up off the floor, he bolted straight out of the room. His lapdog, a.k.a Marise, ran up to him, immediately starting to worry about his bruised eye.
Taryn helped Julie to her feet. As she balanced herself, Julie realized she was face to face with Alex. They kinda of just stared at ach other for a couple of minutes."Okay," Taryn said, dragging the words out, "This is extremely awkward."
"Hi,"Alex said slowly, "I'm Alex."
"Yeah," Julie said, making eye contact, but quickly breaking away, "I knew that."
They decided to go out to where the dance was being held, and sit at the tables that were set up in case anyone gt tired. Julie asked Alex to go away for a second, so she coud talk to her friends for a second. He agreed.
All her friends did was ask if she was okay and had her repeat the story of what happened. When they were finished, Taryn went to get Alex. All of her other friends went to dance. When Taryn returned with him, she made the excse of being hungry just so Alex and Julie would be alone.
"Thank you," Julie said, in order to break the awkward silence, "I mean for helping save me. I really appreciate it."
"Welcome," he said, gently touching her hand, "I'm just glad I got there in time."
Before either of them realized it, they were holding hands. After a while, an slow song came on, and Alex asked her to dance. She accepted.
After the song was over, they were ready to go sit down. Marise came up before they could go and threw her drink at her.
"What the fuck?!" Alex screamed.
"That was for what you did to William." Marise said.
"She was the fucking victum, not im!" ALex yelled.
All the yelling was drowned by the loud music. Only the people near them could hear it.
