It has to get worse before it can get better.

Its going to get hard before it gets better

They both agreed to separate but stay together. They both knew it was going too hard. It had only been a couple of weeks, Since seeing each other in the distance not able to go over and kiss one another was just wrong.
Andy wasn't handling very well she needed him, her head was all over the place with finally saying goodbye to her father to her mother being alive and admitting that she never wanted her to put a lot of strain on her heart.

She had enough of wanting to be with him and she couldn't. there were nights where she found herself outside his house wanting to knock on and throw herself in his arms he knew this as he saw her out the blinds of the window, he ached that he can see she looked lost, broke that all he wanted to do is open the door to her but he couldn't. She wanted to dial his number on the phone and ringing him at stupid hours of the night.

She wasn't the only one, there were times where he argued with Dr Shepard and wanting to quit the whole 90 days of separation he needs his wife to be by his side they can do this together but Dr Shepard always brought him back to earth with her smart talk.
Although she told him to write a letter to her telling her how he is feeling and she can do this as well on a one-time basis.

30 days had passed she felt like the days, the weeks were going slower than a snail and that's just saying something. She wasn't sleeping every time she slept she had nightmares of replaying the whole thing with her mother she wasn't eating every time she ate she was throwing it back up and considering she loves doing her job she wasn't turning up to do.
Her team were also worried about her. Vic and Maya especially but they didn't know how to help her.

At 36 days Andy couldn't bear it anymore she gave up she didn't want to do this anymore she wrote a letter to Robert.

Robert,
I'm writing this letter as I can't do this anymore it's killing me to be away from you like this when I said I was ok with it, I lied I wasn't ok I miss you so much all I want to do is be in your arms and I can't. I know you've been through a lot and I have too. think I'm going A little crazy without you. I love you and I miss you but I can't do this anymore I think it's best if we separate all together if we were meant to be together we'll find our way back to each other but right now I can't I also need to look after myself. Love you Andy xxx.

She got Ben to give the letter to Robert which he did. With the help from Maya and ben, they took Andy to a mental institution. Vic and Maya spoke about this with the rest of the team but Vic couldn't go with them as seeing Andy how she was shattering her heart. it was for the best, Andy was pushing everyone that cares and loves her away.

Two weeks went by Andy wouldn't speak to No one in the hospital she just wasn't ready she stayed in her room, she managed a little bit to eat and kept it down which was a bit of progress.
After reading her letter it broke all his treatment work, Robert was doing well up until now then he went downhill.

It took Dr Shepard and Vic two weeks to get Robert to snap out of his stupidity, all he wanted to do was see or speak to Andy and yet again they hid where she from him for now in till he was properly back on his feet.
Vic Ben and the team tried to see Andy but she refused visitors. They tried for three weeks.
Then had an idea of making her a video telling her what a strong woman she is and they all have the faith in her bouncing back anytime soon. The video help Andy loads she knew they were trying so hard to help her and do the right thing for her.

None of the team spoke to Andy about Robert and the same the vice versa to Robert.
Robert was getting a sense that something has happened of how quiet Vic was when she went to check on him.
They talked for a while when Vic told him why he couldn't see Andy at the moment,
It hurt him to know this but for him to see her he needs to get better and hope she would see him.

It was long progress to go on but he was halfway through it. Vic secretly gave him updates on Andy and how she is doing amazing, she was having counselling session twice a week and Maya went and visited her for the first time in 5 weeks. Robert understood that once she is better he still couldn't go marching straight into Andy life, she has to want to see him first.

It was Vic turn to face time Andy but she didn't make it home in time so while Robert was sleeping she did it in the living room.
To Vic Andy wasn't still the Andy She knew, she was quiet when they spoke for a while never realising that Robert stood at the doorway. he didn't say anything he just watched to see her like that he just wanted to hold her make it all go away he had tears rolling down his face.
Andy saw him but didn't say anything to leave she kept quiet for a while fighting the tears she hadn't seen him since her father memorial which was almost 4 months ago.

Robert was the first one to break he moved out of the way of chat. He understood her letter but still wanting her to not give up on them altogether. He sat on the stairs thinking of what to do. When he was startled out of thought by Vic tapping him on the shoulder.

" I saw her he started to talk, while you was face timing her, I miss my wife so much," he told Vic almost breaking down.
