It has to get worse before it can get better.

it took a few seconds for them  to reply

"Hey, it's me Andy, sorry if I disturb you I just need to speak to you" she said

Andy, It's fine you haven't disturbed me, I just got back from a jog how are you. Robert was glad to hear her voice.

"Yeah I'm getting there she told him", "how are you getting on" she asked him

Happy now I've heard from you, I miss you so much Andy

Robert please I need to talk to you, I need you to let go of me don't wait for to come out. Please Robert, I told you in the letter I don't .... I don't love you anymore

The words broke his heart but up until now he didn't believe the letter that she wrote, he probably still doesn't now but he had to let go leave her alone she's in safe hands with Maya and the team plus she has Michelle now.

Andy used to watch Robert outside her window trying to get to see her but get refused away, all she heard was him shouting he wanted to see his wife. That's why she had to make the phone call.

With her demands Robert stopped going to the hospital, gets up in the morning and goes  for a jog then started his job with Mavis. He missed station 19, he missed going out on calls putting out fire saving people, not teaching the basic but for now he stuck to it. His hearing was coming up and he was get nervous

It's been a month since Andy was back at work, it felt strange at first, the team basically suffocating her with are you alright, you can take more time off. They all blamed themself for not being there for her and not  seeing the signs until it was too late but they were glad to have her back.
She was on desk duty or aid car most of the time she was with travis. Who kept asking every second if  she was ok it was doing her head when they got back from the call she went to the office to Maya begging to put her on engine.

Maya knew Andy would be alright, so she accepted.

19 line Maya shout,
As you all know we have commission team in this afternoon which means this space (the barn) will be off limits also we find out weather we get our chief back today or not take care upstairs really needs a good deep clean. The team huffed and puffed about it as they walked away.

"Vic, Gibson I need a word" Maya last shout.
They go to the office.

Robert going to be in soon please keep an eye on Andy but don't suffocate her though any calls come in let her go on it. Maya told them.
At the point of them talking in the office Andy had already bumped into robert.
He was pacing backwards and forwards of the reception

She felt nothing as she smiled and walked away. As they say went on it got worse back at the station Roberts hearing wasn't going well.

Maya radio Travis telling him what is happened and there plan so as soon as him and Andy were back at the station the whole team interrupt the meeting

Maya: commission, I'm captain Maya bishop from station 19 and i'd be doing this department a disservice if I don't bring our team here today to fight for our battalion chief, the way he has fought for us so many times before. Robert Sullivan is an excellent fire fighter. Hes  one of the best, he's committed to his job, he's patient with his time and leadership. He made some mistakes. In our job when you go down physically we rehabilitate you. He went down physically. Addiction is a treatable, chronic disease so we are rehabilitation him we do not throw him out like trash.

Vic: he made a mistake because he was suffering from pain from an injury he got on the job.

Travis: putting others loves before his. He's one of us. My husband died because of a crappy captain who didn't know how to ask for help. Sullivan is nothing like that guy. He made a mistake but he's asking for help.

She had to step in say something else that no One has said  to make them believe he is a good fire fighter

Andy: he's one of the good ones, both as a human and a fire fighter. He lost his parents in a plane crash he pushed himself up then ladder then he lost his wife again he still managed to climb the ladder to become where he is now.

Commission team agreed to take a twenty minute break to discuss the option.
After the twenty minutes was up they told Robert he can still be a fire fighter but they are stripping his badges he's back to being a probie.
The team was happy for him they hugged him shake his hand all accept Andy who walked away.

"Hey" he shouts going after her. Thank you for what you said up there.
I just thought they need to know it's not all about the job that pushed You so hard to get you to where you was they need to hear solid information. She told him as she started to walk away from him.

Few weeks went by and it was hard for robert to adjust to working and not sitting in his office doing paper work The team included him in so many things but Andy wasn't there. The team was a team when Andy wasn't there she spent most of her time of duty with michelle catching up on lost time.
"Don't worry sir, it not your fault she ain't here ever since she's been back this is how she's been" Jack pointed out.

The following shift was quiet no big calls, Andy walked into the locker room as Robert came out of the shower all steamy, she notice a make on his neck like a love bite as he walked past her she didn't hesitate to look once he went by her. Something like this would make her heart skip a beat but seriously there was nothing.
She must be still broke inside she thought as looking at him with nothing but a towel on is hot she smiled at herself.
