Mortals Meet Demigods (Mist and no Mist)

Btw HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Also Emma G is my irl friend so she will be meeting Clarisse since I haven't done her yet)

Emma POV

Hi I'm Emma. The world recently found out that Greek gods are real. Anyways, I'm starting the first day of junior year. (A/N I aged her up cause idk how old Clarisse is) I haven't met any demigods yet, but I've heard about them going to mortal schools. The whole concept is weird to think about.

I walk in to the school and head to my locker. On the way, I accidentally bump into someone. "Watch where you're going, newbie!" She says. I look at her junior badge she's wearing on her shirt (they're required for the first week) and say "Um... we're in the same year."

She rolls her eyes. "It's my favorite insult, have any issues with that." She asks 'menacingly'. "No, but I think you have anger issues." I mutter under my breath.

"What was that?" She questions, narrowing her eyes at me. "Nothing. My name's Emma, what's yours?" I introduce myself, trying to be polite. It's my first day and my parents I'll kill me if they found out I got in a fight.

"Clarisse." She answered, accepting my hand. (Help why did it change fonts???)

I guess she realized my friendship was worth a try. We walk together to my next class while talking. Eventually, the topic of the gods comes up.

Out of no where she says "I'm a child of Ares, by the way." Um, ok. "Cool. Isn't there a camp for demigods?" I ask, curious to see if the rumors were true. "There's actually two that we know of, but I've been going to one of them since I was young," she explains.

"Nice. Is it fun? Because the camp I went to one summer was extremely boring."

"It could be fun sometimes. I like teasing the campers, especially this guy named Percy Jackson. I call him Prissy, though. One day, the camp started calling Mamer, my electrical spear, Lamer. And I know it had nothing do do with the dyslexia."
