Sanjay had a pub near the highway, so he decided to take us there, Sanjay took Rahul with him, while Jagdeesh had got the emerald gypsy used in patrolling, and Jagdeesh and Amit sat at the front, while I sat at the back. Sanjay moved at first, and then followed the sedan of Kelly, her husband was at the driving seat, I cut-off my sight from there, however, something inside me propelled to look, and I glared at the sedan, as the it went past our gypsy. Kelly gazed at me through the windshield, and our eyes met again, and she took the eyes off me, the vehicle slithered away, Jagdeesh started the engine, and followed the sedan.
My heel touched the rough surface below the seat, I stooped and looked below, there was a carton, and I pulled it and saw there were guns stacked in it. I asked, "Hey guys, guns are not required for parties." Amit laughed, and looked over the shoulder, "Buddy, we will never know when nuisance will strike us; it's good to pull up the socks." I gave a smile, and then I grabbed a pistol, with few magazines and tucked it in my socks, and we moved further, as the sun was sinking in the west turning the sky darker, and the cool breeze blew across the road refreshing, meanwhile I was still thinking of Kelly and our old relation which couldn't stand steady, but later I discarded the thought of her, as she had moved ahead in life.
I checked my mobile, and it popped up with marketing messages, which are always discarded by me, and after a while Jagdeesh steered the jeep at the left, in a small clearing, where I saw a huge pub, which was of one-storey, and it was huge. I got down from the jeep, and stretched my body, while Sanjay summoned everyone to his pub. The interior was beautiful, decorated with elegant designs on the walls, and the ceiling was etched with small ceiling lights, the room was stuffed with large polished tables and chairs, and some of the customers were guzzling their shots, the cashier at the reception, and the waiters wished Sanjay and us.
There was a stairway at the left, which curved to the right, Sanjay summoned us there, and we reached the top, where it was an open roof hall, and it had large comfortable sofas and polished elegant tables, at the corner of the halls there was a large circular table with big overstuffed chairs surrounding it. He told us to freshen up, and guided us to the restroom at the other end of the hall. After getting refreshed, we sat on the overstuffed chairs, at the circular table, and then a waiter comes near our table, Sanjay asks us for ordering foods, and everyone ordered for drinks, except for Amit, who is a teetotaller, so he order for scrumptious foods, while Jagdeesh and I ordered for mild beer, while the others orders for whiskey's, we had a chinwag, Rahul was sitting opposite to me, while Kelly was sitting adjacent to him.
My eyes were flipping at her, and she met my eyes frequently, however, I didn't want to profane her with my glaze, so I was better off her. Kelly asked Jagdeesh and Amit, about their occupation, Jagdeesh replied that, they are working as Forest Rangers, along with Amit and me. I looked from the corner of the eyes, as usual she was flipping her sights, and gleamed, "Hmm... that's great!!!!" I chimed in, "Thanks!! A man's gotta do what a man gotta do." Kelly's stared at me, her face grew sombre, smirking at me, her eyes turned watery, but she withheld her tears. I heard clattering sounds on the table, the waiter was arranging our dishes and drinks, and thus our eye contact was ruptured. I would seem dullard for her.
We were enjoying our foods and drinks, Jagdeesh and I were guzzling our mild beer, except Amit, meanwhile the other were guzzling their pints. We had our delectable foods, the table was filled with delicious foods like rotisserie, pho, tortillas, lobsters, frittatas, Bolognese and many more delectable dishes. Kelly and her husband were chattering in low voice, and giggling, as I saw her, and she was elated. The memories of yesteryears soaked me, we use to stroll around the city, binge eating, and stuff, those were the glorious times of my life, which would never return, but perhaps, my conscience voicing me to move ahead in life for good, however, I was happy that she is doing great in her life, and she is married. I enjoyed my foods and drinks, the waiter bought more plates of food for us, and we enjoyed the gobbling the foods.
Sanjay was clattering his nails on the empty bottle of whiskey, he was looking over us, and later he came up with an idea, "Guys! I have an idea......... Let's play truth or dare." We looked at him in surprise, Rahul let a piece of meal fall on his lap, Sanjay continued, "Yes guys, I am serious, let's give it a try." Rahul replied, "I guess you are still in puberty, to this day." Sanjay laughs off. I was about to say no, but I thought they will think, I am a pussy, during our college days, we use to play this game, and also we use to take bets, sometimes risky gambles. Kelly uttered, "Let's take a challenge instead of this stupid game." She looked at me with the corner of her eye, and continued, "And let us look what a man gotta do." Kelly looked at me with a smirk again; she was taking a jibe on me, but I took my eyes off her.
Jagdeesh looked at me, and Kelly, he cuts in, "Alright guys, there is no need to rumble on this, we will have fun." Everyone agreed, and then Sanjay says, "A few kilometres away, there is an abandoned creepy factory, which stands to this day." He clatters the empty bottle of whiskey with his fingers, and continues, "It is abandoned since unknown years, and there are rumours, that these place is harboured by ghost, and also occultist visit here for carrying for worshipping unholy spirits." Mr. Singhal laughs and utters, "I agreed to audit your taxation matters, but the occultist things are something baseless." Sanjay glares at Mr. Singhal, and replies, "No buddy, I don't believe in it, I have an idea." Rahul looks at Sanjay, and asks, "Have you ever been there?" Sanjay replies, "Nope, but let us explore that place."
Amit laughs and ask, "What sort of twisted idea does your evil mind has?" Sanjay chuckles, and replies, "We will go to that place, and we will play truth or dare, and the person who chooses dare, will have to spend some time in the factory." And while they were having their boyish talks, Jagdeesh, Amit and me looked at each other, I whispered, "This is no good, if there are ghost then it will risky." Amit replied, "Yes pal, but they will never understand, no matter even if we caution them." Jagdeesh uttered, "You know guys, and we are expert in resisting the evil powers, no matter their intensity." Amit and I looked at him, and he was precise in what he conversed, meanwhile Sanjay convinced them to act, and they decided to leave, the same waiter showed up to clear the dishes. Jagdeesh, Amit and I gave gratuity to the waiter, he was glad, and clearing the dishes, he darted away. We rose up from the seats, and head towards our vehicles.
