THE CHALLENGE.

Challenge Fulfilled.

I reached the room, where the ghost was anxiously waiting for me, I placed the scarecrow on the large sofa, and I untied my handkerchief and tucked it in the pocket. I gasped out, and uttered, "I have completed the task." The spirit laughed at me, I was perplexed, and he got up from the seat, and looked at the scarecrow, he was running his hands over the jagged body of scarecrow, again he laughed and looked at me. The spirit uttered, "I told you to bring the scarecrow, I didn't tell you to shoot or batter his body." I replied, "The scarecrows were charged towards me to destroy me, and for self-protection, I had to destroy them for good."

The evil spirit uttered, "You had lost the challenge, and now you are welcome to the world of evil spirits." I was confused, and replied, "I have won the challenge, and I have brought you the carcass of the scarecrow and as per the condition, I have won." The evil spirit snarled at me, and yelled, "Alas! Lad you have lost, there are rules and conditions for any challenge or bet, but you didn't follow the basic rule of the bet, and you are claiming about winning the challenge." I fired back, "This is deception, I have won, and the condition was to get the scarecrow, and I did it, now there is no bondage on me." 

The evil spirit shouted, "You have lost, and the rules here are set by me, and if you defy the rules, you will be imprisoned in the dark world forever." I gasp out, "Alright! This is the height of vanity." I pulled the gun and shoot him down, I saw the blood spilling from his body, and he writhed, and lay down dead, I went out of the room, running towards the exit, but the exit way seemed to be miles and miles away, and I was running to the exit way, it seemed that the run is forever. There was something bizarre about this place.

The horror was waiting to ensnare me.
