*Maya's POV*

A few hours later, my vision is blurred and I seem to be tripping over every 30 seconds or so. Matt brought a ton of alcohol along to the festival in the back of his car and we have broken into our stash.

I am wasted.

A band I don't even recognize are playing and Matt and I are dancing. There are lots of people falling around and dancing with each other. "Matt, baby, this is soooo fun!" I shout grabbing his hand.

"You look hot." he slurs, laughing loudly. He's more wasted than I am. "Babe, you're so hot, hot, hot, hot, hot." he hiccups and giggles like a little girl.

"You're waaay hotter babe," I say, slipping my arm around his waist and turning my head to kiss him. I can taste the alcohol on his tongue. A new song starts to play and I pull away and start dancing, waving my arms around and shouting loudly.

Suddenly, a blonde girl pushes past us and knocks me into Matt. "Hey! What the hell?" I slur, glaring at her. "It was an accident, dumb slut." she sneers and looks over to Matt. "Sorry about that, honey." She winks and bites down on her bottom lip. I open my mouth, about to retaliate, but she carries on walking. I notice Matt staring at her as she walks away.

"Matt!" I shout, slapping his arm. "What?" he asks, snapping out of his gaze to look down at me.

"I can't believe you! You know what? I'm going for a walk." I start to walk away but Matt grabs my arm. "Leave me alone." I shout and shrug him off.

I stumble in the direction of the shower blocks. There are several main shower blocks, then rows of portable toilets outside. I enter an empty shower block and breathe slowly. I can't stop the tears from spilling over my cheeks as I put my hand over my mouth.

"No, don't cry, don't cry." I whisper to myself and wipe underneath my eyes with my hands. The tears stop and I splash my face with water at one of the sinks. I count to ten and breathe in deep. "You're okay." I tell myself and walk back out of the toilets.

There is a man selling drinks and glow paint and other merchandise. I grab some money from my pocket and buy a bottle of water. I don't feel like going back to the main stage so I carry on walking past rows of tents. As I sip my water, I start to feel myself sober up a bit.

I should ring Matt. I think to myself. I reach in my pocket for my phone and I realize I've left it in the tent. "Dammit." I mutter. I finally decide to walk back to the tent and wait for him. I've only been gone for about 45 minutes, so Matt is probably still at the main stage.

As I near our tent, I hear a noise. Confused, I walk up to our tent and listen again. I can hear heavy breathing coming from inside. My heart drops and hesitate before unzipping the tent. I gasp at what I find inside. A vaguely familiar blonde girl is shirtless, in my tent, making out intensely with my boyfriend.
