Once upon a time there was an old woman who lived in the enchanted forest. This old hag was no ordinary woman, but a witch. One of the most precious treasures in the world was hidden in her house. A gemstone that shone in all colors and fulfilled every wish as soon as one spoke them out loud. One day fate led a poor orphan boy to this forest, because he was miserably lost between the many overgrown paths. It was slowly getting dark, which was frightening. So he wanted to ask for directions, but not a soul was to be found far and wide. Though it seemed to him as if a light was coming from a rickety wooden house. The boy went up to it and knocked on the door. No one opened up. But he clearly saw a light shining through the window. He went inside and found a shining stone just laying in the far back of the shack. Just as he tried to grab it, a wrinkled cold hand grabbed his shoulder. An eerie voice rang out: "Another one who wants to steal my stone!" The boy made a jump and wanted to fight back. So he took his slingshot and shot the gem at the attacker. They immediately fell and dropped dead. But the stone hit the ground and shattered into a thousand small pieces. Apparently a spell was broken, because in that exact moment the house, the witch and the rotten trees vanished into thin air and the many people who tried to get their hands of the stone reappeared. Now that the paths were free, the boy was able to leave the forest again. But before he left, he put the pebbles of the gem in his pocket and from then on he was able to buy not only the bare essentials but he didn't have to worry about anything regarding money anymore. It was all taken care of and he was satisfied. And they lived happily ever after.
