A FEW YEARS LATER...
Clint and Allison are perched on the railings watching from above
Fury, Scott, Lydia, Liam, and Isaac enter the radiation facility housing the Tesseract.
The facility is surrounded by machines.
"Talk to me DR.," Fury said as Dr. Erik Selvig stands behind the CMS machine looking panicked.
Isaac has his arms crossed sighing.
Scott and Liam look on worried.
They notice the worried look on Erik's face.
Lydia is nervously chewing on her lower lip.
The Tesseract glows unusually brighter, shocking an agent as he reaches out to touch it.
"Idiot," Liam muttered before being smacked in the head by Scott.
"Ow," he whined.
Lydia chuckles.
"Director," Erik said running over to him.
"Is there anything we know for certain?" Fury asked
"The Tesseract is misbehaving," Erik said
Clint rolls his eyes as Allison scoffs.
Isaac raises an eyebrow.
Lydia shakes her head.
Liam and Scott share a look of disbelief shaking their heads.
"Is that supposed to be funny?" Fury asked and Erik shakes his head.
"No, it's not funny at all. The Tesseract is not also active. She's...misbehaving." Erik said
"How soon until you pull the plug?" Fury asked.
They walk to the large machine that holds the tesseract.
"She's an energy source. If we turn off the power, she turns it back on. If she reaches peak level..." Erik said.
"We've prepared for this doctor. Harnessing energy from space." Fury said.
"We don't have the harness. Our calculations are far from complete. Now she's throwing off interference, radiation. Nothing harmful, low levels of gamma radiation." Erik said going to his laptop.
"That can be harmful. Where's Barton and Argent?" Fury asked.
Erik looks at him.
"The hawks? Up in their nests as usual" Erik said.
