"King's Mark"

Venice sat quietly on the cold floor as she waited for the professors' decision. Nasa loob ng office ang mga propesor para pag-usapan ang nangyari. Nasa labas siya ng kwartong kinaroroonan ng mga ito, tahimik na naghihintay sa madilim na hallway. The moon light from the window in the end is the only source of light.

Siya lang mag isa ang naroroon. Kristov and Clarrah was ordered to return to their dorms after they received their punishment. It was Clarrah's first and Kristov's third warning.

Venice scoffed when she remembered what she heard from the professor. A warning from breaking the curfew and going out of the campus unauthorized. Her fourth warning. Leon showed her how it was done last time when a group of boys had their fourth warning. In her insight it was bearable, she can definitely handle that.

Nawala siya sa malalim na pag-iisip nang may tumabi sa kaniya.

"Why didn't you tell me?" It was Leon, a hint of concern was laced from his voice.

"For what?" She bitterly asked.

"I could have help you."

"You reported me with the bitch." She muttered with rage.

Now that she was reminded, Aileen, the bitch. How come her mind control didn't work on her? Venice clearly saw Aileen following her command. Clarrah witnessed it too. But that is least of her concerns now.

Leon didn't respond. Silence surrounded them. The gushing of the wind and their still breathes are the only thing to be heard. Naalala niya tuloy noong unang beses nila sa black dimension. Ganitong ganito iyon, madilim na paligid at silang dalawa lang ni Leon.

Sabay silang tumayo ng bumukas ang pinto kung saan nagmemeeting ang mga popesor. Unang sumalubong sa kaniya si Samuel, dismayado siyang tinignan ng kaniyang kuya bago nag iwas ng tingin. Venice knows, she disappointed him again. Malamang nga ay alam na rin ito ng iba niya pang kuya.

"Majica Venice Hudson?" Isang matandang ginang ang tumawag sa kaniya at iginaya siya papasok ng silid. Sinundan na lamang niya ng tingin ang papalayo niyang kuya.

The old lady was wearing an oversized blazers and poof skirts like the ones worn during 80s. The lady has this grim look on her face like Venice did something wrong and she will be punished for that. Well, she did break the rules.

Ngayon niya lamang nakita ang matanda sa ilang buwan niyang pananatili sa paaralan.

"Take your sit." Sinunod niya ang sinabi nito at umupo sa visitor's chair sa harap.

"Supposedly it was two warnings but we decided to make it as one. Either way you had your fourth warning we will proceed to the fifth one."

Her fifth? No, it's only her fourth.

"Ahm my fourth warning was actually a mistake. Technically I haven't been punished. I still-" Leon cut her off while explaining.

"She had received the 4th punishment proceed with the last."

Masama ang tingin ang ibinigay niya kay Leon. That's not true! The marks are permanent but the fourth one is invalid . This could be the only way for her to remain in the academy and Leon is ruining it, big time. Why is he even here in the first place?

"The fourth one is invalid. It was an accident, a mistake. Leon, tell the truth." Nagsusumamo ang boses niya. She can't be expelled with her still incomplete mission.

"Is it true, Mr. Frost?" To her dismay he averted his gaze and stayed silent.

Bahagyang ibinaba ng matanda ang salamin nito. "Well, in accordance to the meeting this will be your last warning and we decided to expel you. Your papers are being proccessed you will leave the campus tomorrow."
