The next day izuku felt like sleeping in since he'd been working all week. When he awoke he went to check on his housemate but was interrupted by a small scream of in. He ran downstairs to see Mako holding her hand and spilled coffee. "What happened?" He asked drearily. "I ummm... Burned my hand." She admitted. Wasn't her quirk about fire? Well if your quirk isn't activated it won't have any effects. "Oh. Come here." He ordered. She obeyed. He froze her hand and watched as it melted off, effectively cooling the burn. "Thank you, Djarin. Oh and how is it pronounced? Is it, Duh Jarin, Di Jarin, Dee Jarin or Jarin with a silent D?" She inquired. She went over to the counter and cleared her mess. "Depends. In there mother tongue it's Jarin. But you can pronounce it however you like." "Ok DuhJarin." "Mm." "Well, time for breakfast. Cereal again. We're gonna go shopping for groceries later." "Ok Djarin. So, any shows we recommend?" "Oh so now you're interested in such things?" "Well, I'm your housemate. It only makes sense we have something to bond with, am I not correct Djarin?" She questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Oh, so you want to bond eh?" Izuku asked suggestively. Mako's face red hot. It was so hot that it was literally steaming. "Uhhmmm." Izuku laughed and doubled over. He sauntered over to her and patted her head while say, "I was just joking." She composed herself and responded, "Hmm ofcourse. Anyway."
The two created their respective breakfasts and began eating on the couch. He switched the television on and watched a documentary about... Leaves. "Are you serious?" Mako asked. "You don't like it?" He retorted sharply. "No, my favourite subject was biology. You hit the nail on the head." She answered gratefully. "Oh, interesting."
Knock Knock Knock!
The banging of the door alerted izuku. "One moment." He walked to his door and opened it to see the love birds know as Din and Cara. "Hey guys. How can I help you?" He asked curiously. "Nothing, just wanted to stop by." His brother said behind the helmet. "Oh, come in."
"Djarin! Who are they?" Called Mako. The couple gazed at her then at Izuku. "You two are.... Y'know?" Cara suggested. "No, no. Prisoner turned perpetual house mate." Izuku corrected.
"Oh, it's nice you finally have some company." Din said ruffling his hair. "How many times have I told you not to do that?" Izuku asked. "Many times. Many times. But what can I say, Paz used to do it to me." He said with a dry mechanical chuckle. The trio then got to the couch and watched some TV. "So, how's Auntie Eska?" Izuku asked Din. "Making stuff as usual." "Hmm. Sound like her."
Eska is the name I give the Armourer.
"So, what's your name shortie?" Cara questioned. "Mako Nakamodo." "So you and Frosty are housemates. Frosty has always been a bit lonely lately." Cara joked. Mako giggled while Izuku blushed in embarrassment and mumbled, "Says the one who sleepwalked to Din's room."
Cara had an unnatural smile and held him by the ear and giggled, "What was that Frosty?" "Let go off me!" He shouted. Cara sighed and released her. Mako began laughing softly while Din was almost incapacitated. "Are you two always like this?" She asked.
"Yes."
